Northgate, Cottingham (Part) - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC NORTHGATE, COTTINGHAM (PART)
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Northgate, Cottingham (between George Street and Park Lane) commencing Saturday 10 February 2024 to carry out essential gas works.
The road closure is necessary to enable the closure to go ahead in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.
The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 18 February 2024.
The alternative route for traffc affected by this closure will be via the remainder of Northgate, New Village Road, Thwaite Street, Newgate Street, South Street, Baynard Avenue and West End Road, Cottingham. Access will be maintained for pedestrians, residents and emergency services.
