TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council, in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below to control traffic.
WHERE, WHAT & WHEN:
• Phase 1 - Darby's Lane, Poole - Parking suspended from the junction of Dorchester Road to its junction with Hennings Park Road - no parking, no waiting, no loading/unloading.
Anticipated dates: Monday 5 February up to and including Sunday 18 February 2024
• Phase 2 - Darby's Lane, Poole - road closed to all vehicles from south of its junction with Dorchester Road to its junction with Waverley Crescent. Parking suspended from the junction of Dorchester Road to its junction with Hennings Park Road - no parking, no waiting, no loading/unloading.
Diversion: remainder of Darby's Lane, Nansen Avenue, Rowland Avenue. Anticipated dates: Monday 19 February up to and including Friday 26 April 2024.
• Phase 3 - Darby's Lane, Poole - road closed to all vehicles from north of its junction with Dorchester Road to outside Nos. 28/30. Parking suspended from the junction of Dorchester Road to its junction with Johnston Road - no parking, no waiting, no loading/unloading.
Diversion: remainder of Darby's Lane, Heath Avenue and Wimborne Road. Anticipated dates: Monday 19 February up to and including Friday 26 April 2024.
• Phase 4 - Dorchester Road, Poole - road closed to all vehicles in an eastbound direction only from its junction of Wimborne Road to its junction with Brampton Road. Parking suspended on Heath Avenue, Popes Road and Brampton Road - no parking, no waiting, no loading/unloading.
Diversion: A35 Wimborne Road, A3049 Dorset Way, Oakdale Road (Bus diversion route via Heath Avenue, Popes Road and Brampton Road). Anticipated dates: Monday 19 February up to and including Friday 26 April 2024
WHY: To facilitate highway improvement works by BCP Council.
ACCESS: Full Emergency Service access will be maintained. Access for residents maintained depending on site safety.

Date authorised: 13 December 2023.
These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.
