NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Flowers Lane,
Minshull Vernon & Smithy Lane, Leighton
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council
in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has made
an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Flowers Lane, Minshull Vernon –
From the junction with Middlewich Road to the junction with
Bradfield Road.
Smithy Lane, Leighton – From the junction with Middlewich
Road to the junction with Bradfield Road.
The alternative route will be via Middlewich Road, Coppenhall
Lane Roundabout, A530 Roundabout, Nantwich By Pass,
Nantwich Road Roundabout, Nantwich Bypass, Roundabout
A500 Cheerbrook, Shavington Bypass, Shavington Bypass
Roundabout, Crewe Green Link Roundabout, David Whitby Way,
Savoy Road Weston Road Roundabout, University Way, Crewe
Road Roundabout, Hungerford Road, Sydney Road, Remer
Street, Middlewich Street, North Street Roundabout, North
Street, Bradfield Road and vice versa which is considered the
most suitable route.
This order will come into operation on Tuesday 2 April 2024 and
will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is
necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway,
although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by
Tuesday 28 May 2024.

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council
in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has made
an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Delamere Street, Crewe – For the
full extent.
St Marys Street, Crewe – For the full extent.
Gatefield Street, Crewe – For the full extent.
The alternative route will be via Flag Lane, Hightown, West
Street, Vernon Way, Earle Street Roundabout, Earle Street, Prince
Albert Street, Chester Street, Market Street and vice versa.
This order will come into operation on Monday 5 January 2024
and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as
is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway,
although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by
Friday 1 March 2024.

Public Rights of Way Notice
The Cheshire East Borough Council (Footpath No. 20
Parish of Bunbury) Public Path Extinguishment
Order 2019
On 18th July 2023, the Cheshire East Borough Council confirmed
the above named Order. The effect of the above named Order, as
confirmed, is to extinguish that length of Footpath No. 20 in the
Parish of Bunbury, commencing at Wyche Lane (UX778) at
OSGR SJ 5688 5750 and running in a generally south easterly
direction for a distance of approximately 43 metres to OSGR SJ
5689 5746, then running in a generally southerly direction for
a distance of approximately 27 metres to OSGR SJ 5688 5743,
then continuing in a generally south easterly direction for a
distance of approximately 106 metres to OSGR SJ 5694 5734.
A copy of the confirmed Order and plan has been deposited and
may by appointment, be seen free of charge during normal office
hours in the Rights of Way Unit at the office of the undersigned,
and at the offices of Cheshire East Borough Council, Westfields,
Middlewich Road, Sandbach, CW11 1HZ. Copies of the Order
and Plan may also be obtained free of charge by writing to the
undersigned or to prow@cheshire.gov.uk
The Order became operative on 18th July 2023, but if a person
aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of
any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within
the powers of the above Act, or on the grounds that any
requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not
been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the Order,
he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes
under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990
within 6 weeks of 24th January 2024 as required by paragraph 7
of Schedule 14 to the Act.
