What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(CADDINGTON: PART OF BRIDLEWAY NO 4) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Order made by Central Bedfordshire Council on the 21 July 2023 the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot or on horseback or lead a horse or cycle along the length of Bridleway No 4, Caddington which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0582 2077 to OS GR TL 0595 2118 has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 31 July 2025.
This temporary closure is required to enable safe construction and work movements. The closure is expected to continue from 1 February 2024 for 18 months.
The alternative route for bridleway users while the closure is in operation will be:
From OS GR TL 0582 2077 proceed in a south easterly direction for approximately 10 metres and then continue in a generally north easterly and then north westerly direction along a route parallel to and approximately 10 metres to the east of Bridleway No 4, Caddington to OS GR TL 0595 2118 and vice versa.

If the works are not completed within eighteen months the Order may be extended for a longer period with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(FRENCHS AVENUE, DUNSTABLE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of Frenchs Avenue, Dunstable.
This temporary closure is required to enable the installation of traffic calming and associated measures to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 14 February to 11 April 2024 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
There is no alternative route for this closure. Access will be maintained for residents.
The Order will come into operation on 14 February 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (BRAMPTON RISE, DUNSTABLE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of Brampton Rise, Dunstable.
This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway resurfacing works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 12 to 14 February 2024 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Langdale Road.
The Order will come into operation on 12 February 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(KATHERINE DRIVE, DUNSTABLE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of Katherine Drive, Dunstable.
This temporary closure is required to enable surface dressing and lining works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 8 to 14 February 2024 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Poynters Road, Luton Road, Woodford Road, Brandreth Avenue and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 8 February 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(BYSLIPS ROAD, STUDHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Byslips Road, Studham outside number 24.
This temporary closure is required to enable telegraph pole and overhead cabling works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place on 12 February 2024 between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Clayhall Road, B4540, Dunstable Road, Clements End Road, Byslips Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 12 February 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(LONG LANE, TODDINGTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Long Lane, Toddington outside Long Lane Farm.
This temporary closure is required to enable electricity connection works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 29 to 31 January 2024 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Park Road, B5120, A5120, C107, High Street, Long Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 29 January 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(LEIGHTON ROAD, TODDINGTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Leighton Road, Toddington outside number 101.
This temporary closure is required to enable various water mains works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 29 January to 9 February 2024 and 21 February to 1 March 2024. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via B5120, A5, Hockliffe Road, Toddington Road, Leighton Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 29 January 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Byslips Road, Studham between Oldhill Wood and Kensworth Road.
This temporary closure is required to enable telegraph pole works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place on 30 January 2024 between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Buckwood Lane, Dunstable Road, Clements End Road, Byslips Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 30 January 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

This temporary closure is required to enable surface dressing and lining works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 29 January to 2 February 2024 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
There is no alternative route for this closure.
