1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Newham ("the Council') on 22 January 2024 made the above Orders under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Orders will be to designate disabled resident parking places for use only by persons who are resident within the Boleyn, Canning Town, Canning Town North, East Village, Green Street North, Little llford, Market Street, Monega, Plaistow North, Plaistow South, Prince Regent, Stratford, Stratford North East, Stratford North West and Upton Park Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs), who meet the current criteria for the provision of parking places for disabled persons and who have been issued disabled resident parking permits for their vehicles. Certain other vehicles may wait in the parking places in certain circumstances, e.g., to load or unload goods or pick up or set down passengers. A single parking place, except where stated, will be designated at each of the locations listed below. (NOTE - at locations where an 'overlap' is also stated, the proposed parking place will overlap the frontage of the adjacent property numbers, by up to 1 metre):-

Boleyn Controlled Parking Zone - No. 61 Frinton Road E6 (overlaps Nos. 59 & 63);

Canning Town Controlled Parking Zone - Nos. 262 & 263 Victoria Dock Road E16;

Canning Town North Controlled Parking Zone - No. 7 Upland Road E13 (adjacent to the eastern flank wall);

East Village Controlled Parking Zone - Goswell Court, Honour Lea Avenue E20 (three parking places opposite Verna House);

Green Street North Controlled Parking Zone - No. 15 Chaucer Road E7 (overlaps No. 13) and No. 5 Westbury Road E7 (overlaps No. 7);

Little llford Controlled Parking Zone - No. 74 Chesterford Road E12 (overlaps No. 76);

Market Street Controlled Parking Zone - No. 2b Gillett Avenue E6 and No. 36 Hockley Avenue E6 (overlaps No. 38);

Monega Controlled Parking Zone - No. 283 Strone Road E12 (overlaps No. 281);

Plaistow North Controlled Parking Zone - No. 1d Plaistow Grove E15;

Plaistow South Controlled Parking Zone - No. 24 Credon Road E13 (overlaps No. 22) and Nos. 3 & 5 Stirling Road E13;

Prince Regent Controlled Parking Zone - No. 13 Kent Street E13 and Nos. 8 & 10 Wigston Road E13;

Stratford Controlled Parking Zone - Govier Close E15 (16 metres north-west of No. 1), No. 31 Jupp Road E15, No. 57 Waddington Road E15 (overlaps No. 59) and Nos. 85 & 87 Wise Road E15;

Stratford North East Controlled Parking Zone - No. 18 McGrath Road E15 (overlaps No. 16);

Stratford North West Controlled Parking Zone - Nos. 3 & 5 Heyworth Road E15; and

Upton Park Controlled Parking Zone - Nos. 68 & 70 Boleyn Road E7, Nos. 6 & 8 Churston Avenue E13, Nos. 112 & 114 Plashet Grove E6 and No. 14 Thorngrove Road E13 (overlaps Nos. 12 & 16).

3. Copies of the Orders, which will come into force on 29 January 2024 and documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection by appointment during normal office hours at Newham Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road E16 2QU, by telephoning 020 3373 6415 or by emailing traffic.orders@newham.gov.uk for a period of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made.

4. If any person wishes to question the validity of any of the Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Orders are made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
