Smithy Bridge Road - Road Closure to Facilitate Tests to the Railway Level Crossing
What is happening?
BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE
(SMITHY BRIDGE ROAD, LITTLEBOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES) (No.7) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend,
in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will
be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Smithy
Bridge Road from a point 15 metres north west of the level crossing
for a distance of 40 metres in a south easterly direction.
The Order is required to facilitate tests to the Railway Level Crossing.
The Order will be operative from 00.10 hours until 05:30 hours on
11th February 2024.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Smithy Bridge Road, Milnrow
Road (Littleborough), Wildhouse Lane, Kiln Lane, Bridge Street,
Rochdale Road, Milnrow Road (Rochdale), Albert Royds Street, Halifax
Road (A58), Smithy Bridge Road and vice-versa.
