SECTION 14 - THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

NOTICE OF TRAFFIC ORDERS FOR TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES AND SPEED RESTRICTION

Notice is given that SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL made the following orders:

(STR000768 MEDBOURNE LANE, LIDDINGTON)

This Order is being introduced for OPENREACH works and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Medbourne Lane at the junction with B4192 Purley Road. Alternative Route - via B4192, The Ridgeway, A346 Marlborough Road, Badbury Lane and vice versa. Effective from the 15 February 2024 for 6 months but works are expected to take place on the 15 February 2024 between the hours of 9:30 and 15:30 hours.

(STR000763 A420 SHRIVENHAM ROAD, SWINDON)

This Order is being introduced for VODAFONE works and will impose a 40 mph speed limit as indicated by signs on the A420, Shrivenham Road at Acorn Bridge. Effective from the 12 February 2024 for 6 months but works are expected to take place between 12 to 16 February 2024.

(STR000761 BADBURY LANE, BADBURY)

This Order is being introduced for UTILITY TELECOM works and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Badbury Lane from the junction with Medbourne Lane/Berricot Lane to Property No. 11. Alternative Route - via Medbourne Road, B4192, Ridgeway, A346, Badbury Lane and vice versa. Effective from the 12 February 2024 for 6 months but works are expected to take place between 12 and 13 February 2024.

(STR000760 WOLSLEY AVENUE, PARK SOUTH)

This Order is being introduced for resurfacing works and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Wolsley Avenue beween Queens Drive and Leighton Avenue. Alternative Route - via Cranmore Avenue, Whitbourne Avenue and Queens Drive. Effective from the 5 February 2024 for 6 months but works are expected to take place between 5 to 9 February 2024.

(STR000757 BEECH AVENUE, PINEHURST)

This Order is being introduced for SBC carriageway works and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Beech Avenue from The Bungalows to Pinehurst Road. Alternative Route - via Beech Avenue, B4006 Vicarage Road, B4006 Cheney Manor Road, B4289 Great Western Way, Whitehouse Road, St Mary's Grove, Pinehurst Road and vice versa. Effective from the 29 January 2024 for 18 months. Circumstances such as weather and delays due to contractors may affect the dates of the works which will take place over no more than 5 days within the 18 months period. Advance notice of the works will be given.

(STR000758 HAM ROAD, WANBOROUGH)

This Order is being introduced for THAMES WATER works and will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Ham Road from the junction with Church Road for approx. 30 metres to No 5 Ham Road. Alternative Route - via Ham Road, Church Road, Callas Hill, Ridgeway, King Edwards Road, Ham Road and vice versa. Effective from the 19 February 2024 for 6 months but works are expected to take place between 19 to 23 February 2024.

(STR000783 CAMBRIA BRIDGE ROAD, SWINDON)

This Order is being introduced for THAMES WATER works and will impose a restriction on parking on the resident parking bays outside No's 16a and 16b Cambria Bridge Road. Effective from the 22 January 2024 for 6 months but it is anticipated the restrictions are only required until the 26 January 2024.

(STR000779 HAM ROAD, WANBOROUGH)

This Order is being introduced for DEVELOPMENT works and will impose a prohibition of driving on Ham Road at the junction with Church Road, outside Calley Arms Public House. Traffic to be diverted from the junction with Church Road to the road leading to Callas Hill, Callas Hill to Foxhill, turn right into the road leading to Liddington and right again to the road leading back into Wanborough. Effective from the 12 February 2024 for 6 months but it is anticipated the restrictions are only required between 12 to 16 February 2024.

(STR000782 DRAYCOT ROAD AND NEW ROAD, CHISELDON)

This Order is being introduced for Wales and West Utilities works and will impose a prohibition of driving on Draycot Road and New Road at the junction with New Road. Traffic to be diverted via A346 Marlborough Road, A419 to Commonhead Roundabout, A4259 Marlborough Road to Coate Roundabout, B4006 Marlborough Road, Pipers Way, Swindon Road, Brimble Hill, Hodson Road and vice versa. Effective from the 12 February 2024 for 6 months but it is anticipated the restrictions are only required between 12 to 24 February 2024.

(STR000772 MEDBOURNE LANE, CHISELDON)

This Order is being introduced for UTILITY works and will impose a prohibition of driving on Medbourne Lane between Badbury Lane and The Ridgeway. Traffic to be diverted via Badbury Lane to Butts Road Junction, A346 Marlborough Road, The Ridgeway and vice versa. Effective from the 21 February 2024 for 6 months but it is anticipated the works will take place on the 21 February 2024 between the times of 08:00 and 18:00 hours.

(STR000786 WANBOROUGH ROAD, SWINDON)

This Order is being introduced for essential bridge maintenance works and will impose a prohibition of driving on Wanborough Road, the bridge over the A419. Traffic to be diverted via Kingfisher Drive to Commonhead Roundabout. Effective from the 9 February 2024 for 6 months but it is anticipated the restrictions are only required between 9 to 12 February 2024. Strategic Transport 19 January 2024
