What is happening?

CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after seven days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

Black Drove, Murrow (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-147 Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Black Drove, Murrow as lies between Hooks Drove and Cants Drove. The alternative route for vehicles is via Hooks Drove – Long Drove – Cants Drove and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate new water main and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 26 February 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 25 August 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 26 February and 8 March 2024.

Long Drove, Murrow (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-149 Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Long Drove, Murrow as lies between Hooks Drove and Cants Drove. The alternative route for vehicles is via Cants Drove – Black Drove – Hooks Drove and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate new water main and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 26 February 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 25 August 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 26 February and 8 March 2024.

Whitemoor Road, March (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-163 Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Whitemoor Road, March as lies between number 1 and Red House Farm. The alternative route for vehicles is via Whitemoor Road – Whittlesey Road – Middle Road and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water meter exchange and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 26 February 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 25 August 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:00hrs
and 14:00hrs 26 February 2024.

Back Road, Gorefield (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-167 Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Back Road, Gorefield as lies between numbers 20 and 58. The alternative route for vehicles is via Wolf Lane – High Road – Cattle Dyke and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate main laying and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 26 February 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 25 August 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 26 February and 1 March 2024.

Gull Road (B1187), Guyhirn (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-170 Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Gull Road (B1187), Guyhirn as lies between Follys Drove and Coral Lodge. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1166 – B1169 – A1101 – B1542 – B1187 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate sewer connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 5 February 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 4 August 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 5 February and 9 February 2024.

Gull Road (B1187), Guyhirn and Cants Drove, Murrow (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-185 Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Gull Road (B1187), Guyhirn and Cants Drove, Murrow as lies between Cants Drove and Folleys; Crossinggate Cottage and Gull Road (B1187) respectively. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1187 – B1166 – B1187 and vice versa. Or via B1187 – Gull Drove (C33), Guyhirn – Black Drove (C32), Murrow and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway repairs and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 1 February 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 31 July 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 07:00hrs and 19:00hrs 1 February to 31 March 2024.

Panswell Lane, Leverington and Panswell Lane, Wisbech (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-124 Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Panswell Lane, Leverington and Panswell Lane, Wisbech as lies between Bramley House and Glendale. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1542 – B1166 – B1169 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate power cable installation and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 15 February 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 14 August 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and 18:00hrs 15 February 2024.

Cattle Dyke, Gorefield (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-125 Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Cattle Dyke, Gorefield as lies between numbers 29 and 57. The alternative route for vehicles is via Cattle Dyke – Birds Drove – Allens Drove – High Road and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate fire hydrant repairs and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 5 February 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 4 August 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 5 February and 7 February 2024.

Wype Road, Eastrea (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-135 Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Wype Road, Eastrea as lies between numbers 100 and 186. The alternative route for vehicles is via A605 – B1093 – Wype Road and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection and associated works which are
being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 12 February 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 11 August 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 12 February and 14 February 2024.

Coxs Lane, Wisbech (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-145 Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Coxs Lane, Wisbech as lies between Sunnyside and Barton Green. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1542 – North Brink – Coxs Lane and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 5 February 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 4 August 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 5 February and 7 February 2024.
Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders.

The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
