ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON

(HOME PARK ROAD, SW19)

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

1.The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate a crane operation in Home Park Road, SW19; they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular and pedestrian traffic in the said road.

2. During the works, no person would:-

(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in Home Park Road, from the common boundary of Nos. 81 and 83 Home Park Road to a point 12 metres south-west of the common boundary of Nos. 87 and 93 Home Park Road;

(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the length of road specified in sub-paragraph (a) above;

(c) enter or proceed in the footway on the south-east side of Home Park Road, between a point 8 metres north-west of the common boundary of Nos. 83 and 85 Home Park Road and a point 5 metres south-west of the common boundary of Nos. 87 and 93 Home Park Road.

3. Any designated parking place situated in the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above would be suspended for the duration of the works.

4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Pedestrians affected by the footway closure should proceed via the footway opposite.

6. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed using Arthur Road.

7. Nothing in the Order would apply: -

(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b)to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes subject to site conditions; or

(d) so as to prevent pedestrian access to the properties on the south-east side of the length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(c) above.

8. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

9. The Order would come into operation on Thursday 8th February 2024 and would remain in force until 1 st March 2024. The works are anticipated to be carried out between 7am on Thursday 8th February 2024 until 7pm on Friday 9th February 2024, with back-up dates of 22nd and 23rd February 2024, and also 29th February 2024 and 1st March 2024.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON

(CHRISTCHURCH ROAD AND HIGH STREET. COLLIERS WOOD)

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

1.The Council of the London Borough of Merton, after consulting Transport for London, hereby give notice that to facilitate the removal of scaffolding in Christchurch Road and High Street, Colliers Wood, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the said roads.

2. During the works, no person will:

(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in:-

(i) Christchurch Road, between its junction with High Street, Colliers Wood and South Gardens; or

(ii) High Street, Colliers Wood, the south-west bound lane and the south-west bound cycle lane, between its junction with Christchurch Road and its junction with the Britannia Point service road;

(b) cause or permit any vehicle to turn into the Britannia Point service road from either High Street Colliers Wood or Christchurch Road;

(c) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, on both sides of the lengths of Christchurch Road and High Street, Colliers Wood specified in sub-paragraphs (a)(i) and (ii) above;

(d) enter or proceed on foot in:

(i) High Street, Colliers Wood, the footway on the south-east side, between its junction with Christchurch Road and the southern kerb-line of the Britannia Point service road;

(ii) Christchurch Road, the footway on the west side, between its junction with High Street, Colliers Wood and a point opposite the southern kerb-line of South Gardens.

3. During the works, the north-east bound cycle lane in High Street, Colliers Wood will be suspended between its junction with Christchurch Road and its junction with Baltic Close.

4. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Any designated parking place situated in the road or length of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above will be suspended for the duration of the works.

6. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or

(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the restricted roads or lengths of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works;

(e) any person requiring pedestrian access to Britannia Point and its businesses.

7. Vehicular traffic affected by the Christchurch Road closure should proceed using Priory Road and High Street, Colliers Wood which will have two-way traffic maintained at all times.

8. Pedestrian traffic affected by the footway closures should proceed using the footway opposite or as directed by signage or traffic marshalls.

9. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

10. The Order will come into operation on Monday 22nd January 2024 and remain in force for 6 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will be carried out in 4 phases as follows:-

(a) Phase 1 - from 22nd January 2024 for 1 week, the restrictions in paragraph 2(b) above will apply;

(b) Phase 2 - from 29th January 2024 over two weeks, the restrictions in paragraphs 2(a)(i) and (ii), 2(c), 2(d)(i) and 3 above will apply,

(c) Phase 3 - from 12th February 2024 over two weeks, the restrictions in paragraphs 2(a)(i), 2(c) and 2(d)(ii) above will apply;

(d) Phase 4 - from 26th February 2024 for 1 week, the restrictions in paragraphs 2(a)(i), 2(c) and 2(d)(ii) above will apply.

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON

(DUDLEY DRIVE. FERNLEA ROAD AND LOWER DOWNS ROAD)

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate tree cutting and pruning works in Dudley Drive, Fernlea Road and Lower Downs Road, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicles from waiting or parking in the roads specified in the Schedule to this notice.

2. During the works, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading that vehicle, within 10 metres of any tree in any of the roads or lengths of roads specified in column 2 of the Schedule to this notice.

3. Any designated parking place situated within 10 metres of any tree in the roads or lengths of roads specified in column 2 of the Schedule to this notice will be suspended for the duration of the works. The works will be carried out under a rolling programme of parking suspension to minimise the inconvenience to residents.

4. The restrictions and suspensions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

7. The Order will come into operation on Monday 22nd January 2024 and the anticipated works dates are listed in column 3 of the Schedule to this Notice. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months during which its provisions will be re-introduced should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON

(AYLWARD ROAD. RAYNES PARK)

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate footway and carriageway improvements at the junction of Aylward Road and Cannon Hill Lane they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in Aylward Road.

2. During the works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to:

(a) proceed in Aylward Road, from its junction with Cannon Hill Lane eastward for a distance of 15 metres;

(b) wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in the road or length of road specified in paragraph 2(a) above.

3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed by way of Leafield Road, Mostyn Road, Martin Way and Cannon Hill Lane.

5. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or

(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road specified in paragraph 2(a) above, insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

7. The Order would come into operation on Monday 29th January 2024 and it is anticipated that the works would be completed within 2 weeks. However, the Order would remain in force for 6 months should further works be required.
