Regent Street, Temporary Traffic Restrictions Due to Gas Works

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER - REGENT STREET, BRIGHTON
1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into force will have the following effect-la) The closure of Regent Street, Brighton from its junction with Church Street to the car parking area to the side of number 2. (b) The suspension of the one-way traffic order for the full extent of Regent Street, Brighton to allow for access and egress of vehicular traffic.
2. The Order is necessary to allow contractors to carry out a new gas connection.
3. Pedestrian access will be maintained and a signed diversion route will be in place for vehicular traffic with designated passing points in place on Regent Street.
4. This Order comes into force on 5 February 2024 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed, which is anticipated to be 14 February 2024.
