CROYDON COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED
THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS
CHURCH ROAD. CROYDON TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate a new gas connection works by SGN, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic movements in Church Road, Croydon.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place Church Road will be closed between its junction with Scarbrook Road and the common boundary of Nos. 128 and 130 Church Road.
3. Whilst the closure remains in force the alternative routes for diverted traffic will be via Salem Place, Old Town, Lower Coombe Street, Church Road, Sheldon Street and Wandle Road, or via Cranmer Road and Old Town, as appropriately sign-posted.
4. The Order will come into operation on 22 January 2024 and it is anticipated that the work will be carried out in five days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should Further work be required.
5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

HARTLEY DOWN. PURLEY TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF PARKING & PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate works to provide a new telecoms service connection, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict parking and pedestrian traffic in Hartley Down, Purley.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
a) Parking will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time on both sides of the road between the southwestern boundary of No. 15e Hartley Down and the common boundary of Nos. 19 and 21 Hartley Down.
b) The south-eastern footway of Hartley Down will be closed outside No. 17 Hartley Down.
3. Whilst the footway closure is in place pedestrians will be diverted to the opposite footway.
4. The Order will come into operation on 24 January 2024, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed in two days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle or person involved in carrying out the said work.
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

BIRDHURST AVENUE. SOUTH CROYDON TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate the installation of a new manhole on behalf of Thames Water, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking in Birdhurst Avenue.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
a) Birdhurst Avenue will be closed between its junction with Coombe Road and the vehicular entrance between Nos. 2 and 4 Birdhurst Avenue.
b) Parking within the closure area will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply in the permit/payment parking bays at any time.
3. Whilst the closure is in place the diversion routes for traffic will be via Birdhurst Gardens, South Park Hill Road, Coombe Road and reversed.
4. The Order will come into operation on 05 February 2024, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed within 28 days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

CHESNEY CRESCENT. NEW ADDINGTON TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate works to replace a defective telegraph pole, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic movements in Chesney Crescent, New Addington.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place Chesney Crescent will be closed at its junction with Headley Drive.
3. Whilst the closure remains in force the alternative route for diverted traffic will be via Headley Drive, Dunley Drive, Chesney Crescent and vice versa, as appropriately signed.
4. The Order will come into operation on 02 February 2024, and it is anticipated that the work will be carried out within one day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

HIGH STREET & STATION ROAD. SOUTH NORWOOD TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate telecommunications network installation works, they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements in High Street and Station Road, South Norwood.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
a) High Street, South Norwood will be closed south-west bound (towards Station Road) between its junctions with Portland Road and Station Road.
b) Station Road will be closed south-east bound (towards Norwood Junction Station) between its junction with High Street, South Norwood, and Nos. 1 to 7 Station Road.
3. Whilst the Order remains in force the alternative routes for vehicular traffic will be as detailed below and appropriately signed.
- Via South Norwood Hill, Whitehorse Lane, Windmill Road, St. James's Road, Sumner Road, Mitcham Road, Roman Way, Old Town, The Croydon Flyover, Barclay Road, Fairfield Road, Chepstow Road, Addiscombe Road, Shirley Road, Lower Addiscombe Road, Spring Lane and Portland Road.
- Via Oliver Grove, High Street, Belgrave Road, Grosvenor Road, and High Street.
4. The Order will come into operation on 05 February 2024, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed over two nights between 9pm and 5am. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

OLD TOWN & WADDON ROAD. CROYDON TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING
1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to enable gas main remediation works to take place on behalf of SGN they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements in Old Town, Croydon, and to temporarily prohibit traffic movements and parking in Waddon Road, Croydon.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place carriageway and footway closures, speed limits and parking suspensions will apply as detailed below.
