What is happening?

BRIGHTON & HOVE CITY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council ("the Council") has on 17 January 2024 made the Orders named below under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when they come into operation on 22 January 2024 will amend existing descriptions on various parking restrictions with no alterations on ground in the part or parts of the roads identified:

BRIGHTON & HOVE VARIOUS CONTROLLED PARKING ZONES CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2018 AMENDMENT ORDER NO. 8 2024 (REF: TRO-53A-2023)

SCHEDULE 1 AMENDMENTS:

  • Zone A - Inwood Crescent, Reigate Road, Robertson Road & Woodside Avenue

  • Zone C - Queen's Park Terrace, St James's Street & Somerset Street

  • Zone H - Sudeley Street

  • Zone J - Florence Road, Preston Drove, Preston Park Avenue & Stanley Road

  • Zone L - St Leonard's Road

  • Zone M - Adelaide Crescent

  • Zone N - Church Road, First Avenue, Kingsway St Aubyns & St Aubyns Gardens

  • Zone O - Furze Hill

  • Zone Q - Dyke Road, Highcroft Villas & York Villas

  • Zone R - Portland Road & Sheridan Terrace

  • Zone S - Bernard Place

  • Zone Y - Buckingham Road, Elder Place, London Road & Upper Gardner Street

  • Zone Z - Marlborough Place & Sillwood Road

BRIGHTON & HOVE OUTER AREAS (WAITING, LOADING AND PARKING) AND CYCLE LANES CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2018 AMENDMENT ORDER NO.4 2024 (REF: TRO-53B-2023)

SCHEDULE 1 AMENDMENTS:

  • Franklin Road

A copy of this Notice, the Orders as made and a statement of the Council's reasons for making the Orders may be seen online at www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/current-tros.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirements of the Act or of any instrument made under it have not been complied with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
