Thompson Street, Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Due To Resurfacing Works
What is happening?
DARLINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC AND CLEARWAY) ORDER 2024 THOMPSON STREET EAST, DARLINGTON
Darlington Borough Council has made an Order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:
1. no stopping at any time (clearway); and
2. the prohibition of the driving of vehicles on the following road, to allow road surfacing works:
THOMPSON STREET EAST
From the western boundary of The Leas Bakery eastwards to the east side of Davison Road junction
An alternative route will be signed via A167 North Road, A1150 Salters Lane North and vice versa.
The maximum duration of the temporary restrictions under this Order is 18 months commencing from 19th February 2024, it is anticipated that the restrictions will be effective for 1 week.
