What is happening?

WARRINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that, in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, the Council intends to make Orders under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Dam Ln, Croft (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2024

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Dam Ln from its jct. with Smithy Ln to its jct. with Southworth Ln. The Order will be effective from 7th February 2024 for 1 day. The alternative route will be via Smithy Brow, Smithy Ln & vice versa. The closure is required to allow Freedom Fibre to install a new telecom pole. Ref: 6120204

Mustard Ln & Wigshaw Ln, Croft (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2024

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving as follows: Mustard Ln from its jct. with Lady Ln to its jct. with Wigshaw Ln; Wigshaw Ln from its jct. with Mustard Ln to its jct. with Common Ln. The Order will be effective from 29th January 2024 for 12 weeks. The works will be carried out in phases, with only one phase being implemented at any one time: Phase 1: Mustard Ln from Lady Ln to Wigshaw Ln & Wigshaw Ln from Mustard Ln to Glaziers Ln; Phase 2: Wigshaw Ln from Glaziers Ln to Pendle Gardens; Phase 3: Wigshaw Ln from Pendle Gardens to Common Ln. The alternative route will be as follows: Phase 1 via Lady Ln, Cross Ln, Warrington Rd, Glaziers Ln & vice versa; Phase 2 via Glaziers Ln, Warrington Rd, Common Ln & vice versa; Phase 3 via Glaziers Ln, Warrington Rd, Common Ln & vice versa. The closure is required to allow Electricity North West to install a new electrical cable. Ref: 6110604

Pinners Brow (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2024

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Pinners Brow (northeast traffic) from its jct. with Winwick St to its jct. with Lythgoes Ln. The Order will be effective from 5th February 2024 for 4 days, between 7pm & 6am. The alternative route will be via Midland Way & Lythgoes Ln & via Bewsey Rd, Folly Ln, Kerfoot St & Winwick Rd. The closure is required to allow Scottish Power to install a new electrical connection. Ref: 6111104

Summer Ln, Appleton (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2024

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Summer Ln from its jct. with Pillmoss Ln to its jct. with Newton Ln. The Order will be effective from 26th January 2024 for 8 weeks, between 8pm & 6am. The alternative route will be via Pillmoss Ln, Hatton Ln, Daresbury Ln, Chester Rd, Windmill Ln & vice versa. The closure is required to allow National Highways to fell hazardous trees. Ref: 6109704

Notice is hereby given that the Council made Orders under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

A49 Winwick Rd (Prohibition of Right Turn) Temporary Order 2024

The effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle proceeding on the A49 Winwick Rd from making a right hand turn into Kerfoot St. The Order will be effective from 18th January 2024 for 2 weeks, between 7:30pm & 11pm, however it is anticipated the works will only take one night to complete. The alternative route will be via Lythgoes Ln, Cockhedge Green Roundabout, Lythgoes Ln, Winwick Rd, Kerfoot St. The restriction is required to facilitate a drainage survey for proposed highway works. Ref: 5952512

Padgate Ln (Southbound) (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2024

The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Padgate Ln (southbound) from its jct. with Marsh House Ln to its jct. with Manchester Rd. The Order will be effective from 23rd January 2024 for 2 days, between 9:30am & 3:30pm. The alternative route will be via Padgate Ln, King Edward St & Manchester Rd. The closure is required to allow Warrington Borough Council to carry out tree maintenance works. Ref: 5368584

The temporary restrictions will be in place as & when the signs are in place on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
