PUBLIC PATH CREATION AND DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER 2023 AND

THE HAMPSHIRE (HART DISTRICT NO.10)

(PARISH OF HOOK- PART OF FOOTPATH 13)

PUBLIC PATH EXTINGUISHMENT AND DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER 2023

On 20 December 2023 Hampshire County Council confirmed the above Orders made under sections 118 and 26 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to create a footpath in the parish of Hook commencing at a junction with Hook Footpath 12 at SU 7361 5515 and continuing in a westerly direction for approximately 275 metres, proceeding in a south then south-easterly direction to connect with Hook Footpath 13. The extinguishment order extinguishes that part of Hook Footpath 13 that commences at a junction with Hook Footpath 12 at SU 7361 5515 and continues in a westerly direction for approximately 248 metres to a junction with Searls Lane.

A copy of the Order and the Order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the offices of Hampshire County Council, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UJ, and at the offices of Hart District Council Civic Offices, Harlington Way, Fleet GU51 4AE at all reasonable hours; and online at www.hants.gov.uk/publicnotices. The Order came into force on 20 December 2023, but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from 1 March 2024 make an application to the High Court.
