(Hazelton Road, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hazelton Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 25m north west of its junction with Harwich Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd January 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03010747223 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while supply replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Churnwood Road, Parsons Heath, Parsons Heath Roundabout, Harwich Road and vice versa (with access only into Hazelton Road).
The Order came into effect on 11th January 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Layer Breton Hill, Layer Breton) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Layer Breton Hill, Layer Breton in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with Shatters Road to its junction with Lower Road a distance of approximately 600m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 29th January 2024 for 8 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2353824A - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while footway and cycleway defect repair works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Colchester Road, Layer Road, Church Road, Birch Road, Birch Park, Garlands Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 11th January 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Melrose Road/Yorick Avenue, West Mersea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Melrose Road, West Mersea in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 95m south west of its junction with Barfield Road for a distance of approximately 80m in a south westerly direction.
2. To temporarily close that length of Yorick Avenue, West Mersea in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Melrose Road for a distance of approximately 45m in a southerly direction.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 24th January 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WC8P292D001/BC008WC8P292D002 - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
Alternative routes are available via:
1. Melrose Road, Barfield Road, High Street and vice versa.
2. Melrose Road, High Street, Yorick Road, Yorick Avenue and vice versa.
3. Melrose Road, Bardfield Road, Kingsland Road, Yorick Road, Yorick Avenue and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 11th January 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Salmons Lane, Coggeshall) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Salmons Lane, Coggeshall in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 580m north west of its junction with A120 for a distance of approximately 30m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 23rd January 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03162689971/FH - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while chamber repair works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via The Street, Brook Road, Great Tey Road, A120 and vice versa (with access only into Salmons Lane, East Gores Road and Coggeshall Road).
The Order came into effect on 11th January 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(St Botolphs Church Walk, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of St Botolphs Church Walk, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 25m east of its junction with St Botolphs Street for a distance of approximately 20m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 29th January 2024 for 1 night (23:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (AD03162808210 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while chamber cover replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
No alternative route is available (with access only into St Botolphs Church Walk).
The Order came into effect on 11th January 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Sycamore Road, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Sycamore Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Hickory Avenue to its junction with Hawthorn Avenue a distance of approximately 500m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 31st January 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2356874 -Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Hickory Avenue, Hawthorn Avenue and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 11th January 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Water Lane, Langham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Water Lane, Langham in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Dedham Road to its junction with Docuras Farm Road a distance of approximately 620m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd January 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (A5009-ESS-6942/8213 - County Broadband LTD). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by County Broadband LTD.
An alternative route is available via Docuras Farm Road, Low Lift Cottage Road, Dedham Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 11th January 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
