ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14(1)

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2023

MANOR ROAD, KEMPSTON HARDWICK 23 – 098

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency,from proceeding along the length of Manor Road Kempston Hardwick. This temporary road closure is required to facilitate the undertaking of boreholes and site survey for future level crossing removal and bridge construction. and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours from 15th January 2024 to 26th January 2024

The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Ampthill Road, Stewartby Way, Green Lane, Woburn Road, Manor Road.

The reverse route applies.

The proposed Order will come into operation on 15th January 2024, for a period of 12 months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14(1)

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2023

LINDEN ROAD, BEDFORD 23 – 119

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the length of Linden Road Bedford opposite Linden Court.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate fire hydrant repairs and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 08:00 to 18:00 hours from 17th January 2024 to 19th January 2024

The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Linden Road, Lansdowne Road, Union Street, Warwick Avenue.

The reverse route applies.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2023

SPRING HILL, LITTLE STAUGHTON 23 – 093

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Spring Hill Little Staughton between Green End and Church Lane.

This temporary road closure is required for the safety of the work force due to the narrow carriageway whilst footway resurfacing is undertaken and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 09:00 to 15:30 hours from 22nd January 2024 to 29th January 2024 The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via C11 North From Green End To County Boundary, Green End, Little Staughton Road, Staughton Road, Great Staughton Road, Bedford Road, Pertenhall Road, Mill Hill, Wybridge, Kimbolton Road, Keysoe Row East, West End, High Street.

The reverse route applies.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14(1)

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2023

CAUSE END ROAD, WOOTTON 23 – 127 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along Cause End Road Wootton between Bedford Road and Tithe Barn Road.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate carriageway re surfacing and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 09:00 to 15:30 hours from 12th February 2024 to 28th February 2024

The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Bedford Road, Church Road, Cause End Road.

The reverse route applies.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2023

FELMERSHAM ROAD, CARLTON 23 – 125 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle,from proceeding along Felmersham Road Carlton outside Farm Cottage.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate a fire hydrant repair and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 08:00 to 18:00 hours from 12th February 2024 to 14th February 2024 The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Pavenham Road, Bridgend, Carlton Road, Odell Road, High Street, Felmersham Bridge, The High Road, Hunts Lane.

The reverse route applies.

(PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 11th January 2024 Bedford Borough Council made the above Traffic Regulation Order, the effect of which is detailed below:Effect of the Order:

1. To introduce ‘No waiting at any time’ restrictions (double yellow lines) on the following lengths of roads:

A     Park Crescent, Stewartby

(i)    On its south-eastern kerb, from its junction with Rousbury Road to a point approx. 43 metres north-east of the projected centre line of Rousbury Road.

(ii)   On its eastern kerb, from its junction with Pillinge Road for a distance of approx. 13 metres in both a northerly and southerly direction.

B     Rousbury Road, Stewartby

(i)    On its north-eastern kerb, from a point approx. 10 metres west of the projected boundary between nos. 1a & 1b Rousbury Road to its junction with Park Crescent.

C     Pillinge Road, Stewartby

(i) On both sides, from its junction with Park Crescent for a

distance of approx. 10 metres in an easterly direction. Date of Operation This Order will come into force on 15th January 2024 or as soon as practicable after this date.

High Court Challenge: Any person who desires to question the validity of this Order or any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date of this Notice, make application for that purpose to the High Court.

ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 11th January 2024 Bedford Borough Council made the above Traffic Regulation Order, the effect of which is detailed below:Effect of the Order:

1. To introduce ‘No waiting at any time’ restrictions (double yellow lines) on the following lengths of roads:

A    Keysoe Row West, Keysoe

(i)    On its north-western kerb, extending from the junction with the B660 Kimbolton Road for a distance of approx. 13.5 metres in a south-westerly direction.

(ii)   On its south-eastern kerb, extending from the junction with the B660 Kimbolton Road for a distance of approx. 18 metres in a south-westerly direction.

B    Keysoe Row East, Keysoe

(i)    On its north-western kerb, extending from the junction with the B660 Kimbolton Road for a distance of approx. 14 metres in an easterly direction.

(ii)   On its south-eastern kerb, extending from the junction with the B660 Kimbolton Road for a distance of approx. 16 metres in a

north-easterly direction.

C    B660 Kimbolton Road, Keysoe

(i)    On its north-eastern kerb, extending from the north-western side of Keysoe Row East to a point approx. 29 metres north-west of the centre of Keysoe Row East.

(ii)   On its north-eastern kerb, extending from the south-eastern side of Keysoe Row East to a point approx. 25 metres south-east of the centre of Keysoe Row East.

(iii)   On its south-western kerb, extending from the north-western side of Keysoe Row West to a point approx. 18 metres north-west of the centre of Keysoe Row West.

(iv)  On its south-western kerb, extending from the south-eastern side of Keysoe Row West to a point approx. 24.5 metres south-east of the centre of Keysoe Row West.

Date of Operation This Order will come into force on 15th January 2024 or as soon as practicable after this date.

BEDFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL

(STAPLOE: FOOTHPATH NO 7)  

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Bedford Borough Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot along the length of public footpath No 7 Staploe which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 1469 5968 to OS GR TL 1450 5913.

This temporary closure is required to install a new potable water pipeline.

The closure will take place from Monday 22nd January 2024 for a period of six months.

There is no alternative route for footpath users while the closure is in operation.

The Order will come into operation on 22nd January 2024 for a period not exceeding six months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out on or near the footpath to have been completed, whichever is the earlier. If the works are not completed within six months the Order may be extended for a longer period with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport.
