(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its
powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order
to the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length
of Welton Grove, Midsomer Norton from a point outside property number
21 Welton Grove. USRN: 47903430.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on
or near the road to enable Bristol Water to install bypass and replace meter on the
22nd January 2024 for a maximum period of 5 days. The road will only be
restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the
whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works.
This is anticipated to be for THREE DAYS.

vice versa.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its
powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order
to the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length
of B3130 Winford Road, Chew Magna from its junction with Chew Lane extending
west for approximately 175 metres. USRN: 47918097.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on
or near the road to enable Openreach to replace DP8 Pole on the 23rd January
2024 for a maximum period of 2 days. The road will only be restricted as and when
traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but
only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for
ONE DAY between 09:30 - 15:30hrs.

powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order
to the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length
of Police Lane, Pensford from its junction with Hillcrest extending to its junction
with Hillcrest Rear Lane. USRN: 47903996.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on
or near the road to enable Openreach safe access to carry out a pole replacement
on the 25th January 2024 for a maximum period of 2 days. The road will only be
restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the
whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its
powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make
an order to the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:
• A road closure in that length of Maggs Lane, Whitchurch from its junction with
the A37 Bristol Road extending west to a point adjacent to 2a St Nicholas Road.
USRN: 47904495.
• A temporary suspension of the one-way restriction allowing traffic to travel in
both directions, from the Bristol end of Maggs Lane, Whitchurch at its junction
with Washing Pound Lane. Two Operatives with a radio contact system will be in
situ during the works and will use stop and go boards to assist traffic. The site
will be returned to normal access when not working.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on
or near the road to enable Wales & West Utilities to undertake gas main upgrade
works on the 9th February 2024 for a maximum period of 6 weeks. The road will
only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected
for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works.
The works are anticipated to be carried out over THREE CONSECUTIVE WEEKENDS
between the following dates:
• 9th - 11th February 2024
• 16th - 18th February 2024
• 23rd - 25th February 2024

of Ham Lane, Bishop Sutton from a point outside the property known as Bradley
House extending south east to its junction with A368 The Street. This order also
suspends the one-way restriction in that length of Ham Lane to allow residents
to access Ham Lane from the junction with Hollowbrook Lane/Bonhill Lane.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its
powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an
order to the effect of which will be to close temporarily to cyclists, horse riders and
motor vehicles, suspend all parking to vehicles, introduce a one-way restriction and
suspend a one-way restriction in the lengths of roads listed in Schedules 1 and 2.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on
or near the road to enable Bath & North East Somerset Council to carry out highway
improvement works from the 5th February 2024, for a maximum period of
18 Months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position
and will not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is
necessary to execute the works. The anticipated timescale for each closure is listed
in Schedules 1 and 2 below.
