What is happening?
CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL (SPEED LIMIT ORDER) (NO. 12) ORDER 2023 VARIOUS STREETS IN THE BRADFORD SOUTH CONSTITUENCY
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District has made the above Order on the 18th January 2024 under their powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the general effect of which will be to introduce 20mph zones around a number of schools in Bradford South constituency along the following lengths of road:-
i. Bartle Lane, Bartle Close, Dracup Road, Grisdale Close, Bell House Crescent, Broughton Avenue, Newhall Road, Bedale Drive, Lastingham Green, Ardsley Close, Barthorpe Close, Kensteven Close, Kesteven Court, Lingmell Crescent, Simon Close, Wenborough Lane, Back Bartle Square, Back Beldon Road, Back Ewart Place, Bartle Square, Beldon Road, Belton Close, Clover Street, Collins Street, Cragg Street, Cragg Terrace, Daisy Street, Ewart Place, Ewart Street, Grain Street, Halstead Place, Halton Place, Haycliffe Hill Road, Haycliffe Road, Haycliffe Terrace, Hudson Gardens, Keeldar Close, Knights Fold, Lichen Close, Low Green, Low Green Terrace, Oakwell Close, Pannal Street, Peel Row, Perseverance Lane, Rudd Street, Smith Road, Snowden Street, Southmere Avenue, Southmere Crescent, Southmere Drive, Southmere Road, Southmere Terrace, Stephenson Street, Suddard's Fold, Vivian Place, Ward Street, Watmough Street, Withins Close, Yorkshire Way, Back Bartle Square, Acre Court, Acre Lane, Acre Place, Adam Street, Albany Street, Back Oakdale Terrace, Bagnall Terrace, Bank Street, Chapel Street, Hall Street, Hardy Street, Hardy Terrace, Horsley Street, Lockwood Street, Lower George Street, Moulson Close, North Road, Northfield Gardens, Northfield Grove, Northfield Road, Oakdale Avenue, Oakdale Crescent, Oakdale Terrace, Oddy Place, The Meadows, Upper George Street;
ii. Reevy Avenue Between its junction with The Crescent and Reevy Road;
iii. Reevy Road West Between its junction with Saxton Avenue and Reevy Road;
Iv. Kesteven Road Between is junction with Landscove Avenue and Heysham Drive;
v. Cross Lane Between its junction with Southfield Lane and Hudson Avenue;
vi. Southfield Lane Between its junction with Hudson Avenue and Great Horton Road;
vii. High Street Between property No. 108 and 142; and
viii. Wyke Lane Between property No. 134 and 247
The Order comes into force on the 4th March 2024. A copy of the Order together with a map showing the affected roads may be examined during normal office hours at the Customer Services Reception, Ground Floor, City Hall, Bradford BD1 1HY or may be examined on the council web site at https://www.bradford.gov.uk/transport-and-travel/highways/traffic-calming-and-pedestrian-crossings or obtained from Shadid Aziz, Engineer - Traffic & Road Safety South, Planning, Transportation & Highways by email shahid.aziz@bradford.gov.uk Quoting reference number HS/TRSS/105704/SA. If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any Instrument made under it, have not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the date upon which the Order was made on 18th January 2024 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
