A712 Dumfries – Newton Stewart - Temporary 40 Miles Per Hour Speed Limit Order 2024
What is happening?
(U27S GAITGILL) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2024
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close the U27s at Gaitgill Bridge, Gatehouse of Fleet from 8am on 30/01/24 – 5pm on 31/01/25. The closure is necessary, in the interest of vehicle and pedestrian safety, due to the bridge in danger of collapse.
Alternative route available via U27s, C13s, B727, U27s and vice versa. Emergency access will not be available. Pedestrian access will not be maintained.
(A712 DUMFRIES – NEWTON STEWART) (TEMPORARY 40 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to impose a temporarily 40mph speed limit on the A712 at Drumhumphry Cottage, Corsock from 0930 – 1530 on 01/02/24. The closure is necessary to facilitate safety for workforce in association with telegraph pole replacement works.
