What is happening?

WEST NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (HOLCOT ROAD, BRIXWORTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Holcot Road, Brixworth as set out below.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Holcot Road, Brixworth from the junction of Northampton Road to 25 Holcot Road.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during gas mains replacement.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 12th February 2024 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for 21 days.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use Harborough Road, Scaldwell Road and Holcot Road.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (VARIOUS ROADS, NORTHAMPTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC; TEMPORARY REVERSAL OF ONE-WAY SYSTEM & REVOCATION OF ONE-WAY SYSTEM) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding and introduce a temporary reversal/revocation of the one-way system along those lengths of roads specified in the Schedule below.

REASON FOR RESTRICTIONS: The restrictions are required for safety during major regeneration works on Fish Street and Abington Street.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 29th January 2024 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the roads will be restricted until 30th November 2024.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14 (QUEEN STREET, WEEDON BEC & KINGS LANE, FLORE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit traffic from proceeding along those lengths of Queen Street, Weedon Bec and Kings Lane, Flore as set out below.

LENGTHS OF ROADS TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Queen Street – from the junction of Starmers Row to 38 Queen Street and Kings Lane – from the junction of High Street to Sutton Street.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during repairs to Gigaclear network.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 25th January 2024 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the roads will be restricted for two days.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: for Queen Street use New Croft, Farthingstone Road and road to Weedon and for Kings Lane use High Street and Sutton Street.
