What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(SKIDBY BYPASS - SKIDBY/BEVERLEY ROAD, BENTLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed along Skidby Bypass - Skidby/Beverley Road, Bentley between Skidby Roundabout and the junction with Coppleflat Lane. Hours of work will be 20.00 until 05.00 22 January 2024.

The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed installation of traffic management barriers for the Jocks Lodge Improvement Scheme works, to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.

It is anticipated that the works will be completed by 27 January 2024.

The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is via Beverley Road, Bentley; Jocks Lodge Westbound Interchange, Beverley; Beverley South Western Bypass, Walkington; Killingwoldgraves Roundabout, Beverley Road, York Road, Bishop Burton; York Road, Cherry Burton; Arras Hill, Sancton Road Roundabout, Sancton Road, Market Weighton; Market Weighton Road, King Street, Newbald Road, Sancton; Sands Top, North Newbald; South Cave Road, South Newbald; Kettlethorpe Hill, Station Road, Market Place, Brough Road, South Cave; A63 Eastbound, A63 Eastbound On Slip Petuaria Way, North Ferriby; Humber Field Roundabout, Lowthorpe Way, Humber Bridge Roundabout, Humber Bridge Northern Approach Road, Hessle; Swanland Roundabout, Humber Bridge Northern Approach Road, Swanland; Riplingham Road Roundabout, West Ella; Humber Bridge Northern Approach Road, Swanland; Willerby Roundabout, Beverley Road, Willerby; Willerby Hill Roundabout, Beverley Road, Castle Hill Roundabout, Beverley Road, Cottingham; Skidby Roundabout, Skidby.

The road will be open at all times for vehicular access to properties directly affected by the closure and for emergency services. The Order will commence on 22 January 2024 and continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
