What is happening?

MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)

NOTICE IS HEREBY given that the City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary One-Way Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC137177191:

The City of Manchester (Devonshire Street, Ardwick Ward) (Temporary One- Way Vehicular Traffic) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order is to make Devonshire Street One Way from Stockport Road to Hyde Road (permitted direction of travel).

The alternative routes for traffic will be: Hyde Road, Stockport Road, and Vice Versa.

The City Council is satisfied that this restriction is necessary in order for Gas repairs.

It is expected that the works will be in progress from 17th January 2024 to 29th February 2024. The Order shall come into operation on 17th January 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months.

If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
