What is happening?

PROPOSED DISABLED PARKING PLACES BATCH 2023-03, VARIOUS ROADS

The Haringey (Free Parking Places, Loading Places and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No.49) Order 2024 The Haringey (Charged-For Parking Places) (Amendment No.48) Order 2024 T49

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Haringey on 11th January 2024 has made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other powers.

The General Effects of the Orders would be:

(i) To introduce Dedicated Disabled Parking Bays, operating at any time, measuring a length of 6.6 metres, outside (unless stated otherwise) the following properties in the London Borough of Haringey; adjacent to Newland House on Campsbourne Road N8, No.68 Chester Road N17, No.29 Devonshire Road N17, No.27 Falkland Road N8, adjacent to the flank wall of No.163 Wargrave Avenue on Grovelands Road N15, adjacent to the flank wall of No.336/338 Lordship Lane on Waltheof Avenue N17, No.36 Mitchley Road N17 (permit bay outside No.38 will be removed and adjacent Double Yellow Lines extended), No.6 Pretoria Road N17, No.30 Stapleton Hall Road N4, No.79 Uplands Road N8, No.124 Wightman Road N4.

(ii) To convert existing Disabled Parking Bays to Dedicated Disabled Permit Holders Only Parking Bays, operating at any time, outside (unless otherwise stated) the following properties: No.193 Gladstone Avenue N22, No.46 Hill Road N10, adjacent to No.390 White Hart Lane N17.

(iii) To remove existing Disabled Parking Bays, outside (unless otherwise stated) the following properties in the London Borough of Haringey; No.53 Eldon Road N22, No.15 Princes Avenue N22, No.57 Rathcoole Avenue N8, No.68 Rosebery Road N10, No.116 Morley Avenue N22, No.244 Park Road N8.

(iv) To relocate existing disabled bays operating at any time, measuring a length of 6.6 metres, outside (unless stated otherwise) the following properties; from outside No.14 Gisburn Road N8 to outside No.4 Gisburn Road N8 (Single Yellow Line on eastern side of the bay will be extended by 2.6 metres), from outside No.27 Gisburn Road N8 to outside No.1 to 3 Coffee on Tottenham Lane N8, from outside No.24 Ewart Grove N22 to opposite No.12 Stuart Crescent N22, from outside No.42 & No.36 Buller Road N17 to outside No.29 & No.41 Buller Road N17, from outside No.11 to No.29/31 on Ewart Grove N22 (this bay will be shortened to 5.S metres), from outside No.20 to outside No.13/15 on Farningham Road N17, from outside No.4 to No.2 on Kings Road N17, outside No.222 Langham Road N15 will be moved west by 1 metre, from outside No.23 to No.37 on Napier Road N17, from outside No.18 to No.34 Norfolk Avenue N15, from outside No.65 Oakfield Road N4 to adjacent to the flank wall of No.65 Oakfield Road on Quernmore Road N4, from outside No.9 to No.78/38 St Margarets Road N17, from outside No.82 Warwick Gardens N4 to adjacent to the flank wall of No.68 Warwick Gardens on Rutland Gardens N4, from outside Fenollosa Court to outside No.2 on Church Road N6 (Resident Parking bay will be removed and adjacent Single Yellow Lines will be extended).

The Dedicated Disabled Parking Bays would specifically be for the use of the permit holder for which it would be authorised. No other permit or blue badge would be valid for use within the proposed parking place except for the permit for which it was issued.

(v) To revoke the relevant underlying Controlled Parking Zone restrictions at the locations mentioned in Section 2(i) and (iv) of this notice.

(vi) To reinstate the Controlled Parking Zone restrictions at the locations mentioned in Section 2(iii) and (iv) of this notice.

(vii) To formalise the Permit Holders Only parking on both sides of Chester Road N17 between property No's. 54-62 (map-based amendment which will result in no physical changes on site).

(viii) To formalise the bicycle parking hangar on Grovelands Road N15 adjacent to the flank wall of No.163 Wargrave Avenue (map-based amendment which will result in no physical changes on site).

Date of operation: The Orders will come into operation on 5th February 2024.

Further details: an appointment can be made, by emailing traffic.orders@haringey.gov.uk to inspect the Orders during normal office hours at the reception desk of Alexandra House, 10 Station Road, Wood Green, N22 7TR, or can be viewed online at https://streets.appyway.com/haringey within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made.

Application to the high court: Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it does not comply with the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
