What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF B197 WELLFIELD ROAD, HATFIELD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B197 Wellfield Road, Hatfield from its junction with The Minims south eastwards for a distance of approximately 558m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via B197 Wellfield Road, A1001 Comet Way, B6426 (Cavendish Way/Queensway) and B197 Wellfield Road. The Order is needed because the replacement of existing gas mains is proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 5 February 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF C54 (UNNAMED ROAD), NEWGATE STREET)

ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of C54 (unnamed road), Newgate Street from its junction with Tylers Causeway northwards and north westwards to its junction with Church Road, a distance of approximately 350m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Tylers Causeway, Cucumber Lane, Berkhamsted Lane, Little Berkhamsted Lane, Church Road and C54 (unnamed road). The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 5 February 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS

IN CRANBORNE CRESCENT, POTTERS BAR) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order

under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all

vehicular traffic from using that length of Cranborne Crescent, Potters Bar

from a point 22m south east of its junction with Bornedene north eastwards,

south eastwards, south westwards and north westwards for a distance of

approximately 533m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Cranborne Crescent.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both

sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near

the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 5 February 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CUCUMBER LANE, ESSENDON) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Cucumber Lane, Essendon from its junction with B158 High Road south eastwards to its junction with Berkhamsted Lane, a distance of approximately 348m ("the Road"). An alternative route will be via B158 (High Road/Essendon Hill/Low Road/Lower Hatfield Road), Robins Nest Hill, Little Berkhamsted Lane and Berkhamsted Lane. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 2 February 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A1000 Great North Road, Welham Green from its junction with the Dixons Hill Road roundabout north westwards, south westwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 1778m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via A1000 (Great North Road/Hatfield Road/High Street/Barnet Road/Great North Road/Hadley Highstone/Hadley Green/Great North Road/High Street), A411 (Wood Street/Barnet Road/Barnet Lane), A5183 (High Street/Elstree Hill North/ Watling Street/Cobden Hill/Watling Street/ Radlett Road/Frogmore/Park Street/Watling Street), A414 North Orbital Road, A1001 Comet Way, A414 (Great North Road/Hertford Road) and A1000 (Hertford Road/Great North Road) or via A1000 (Great North Road/Hertford Road), A414 (Hertford Road/Mount Pleasant Lane/Great North Road), A1001 Comet Way, A414 Great North Road, A5183 (Watling Street/Park Street/ Frogmore/Radlett Road/Watling Street/Cobden Hill/Watling Street/ Elstree Hill North/High Street), A411 (Barnet Lane/Barnet Road/Wood Street) and A1000 (High Street/Great North Road/Hadley Green/Hadley Highstone/Great North Road/Barnet Road/High Street/Hatfield Road/Great North Road). NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Tolmers Road, Cuffley from its junction with B156 Station Road north westwards for its entire length ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via B156 Station Road, B157 Plough Hill and Hill Rise. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 22 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. WELWYN GARDEN CITY) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"):-

1. that length of Boundary Lane, Welwyn Garden City from its junction with Middlefield north westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m.

An alternative route will be via Boundary Lane, Howlands, Linkfield and Boundary Lane.

2. that length of Middlefield, Welwyn Garden City from its junction with Boundary Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 10m.

An alternative route will be via Boundary Lane, Howlands and Middlefield or via Boundary Lane, Linkfield and Middlefield. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 23 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF B156 THE CAUSEWAY, POTTERS BAR) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B156 The Causeway, Potters Bar from its junction with Bearwood Close south westwards and north westwards to a point in line with the western boundary of No.65 The Causeway, a distance of approximately 67m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via B156 (The Causeway/Coopers Lane), Well Road, B157 Shepherds Way, A1000 (Great North Road/Hatfield Road) and B156 The Causeway or via B156 (The Causeway/High Street/Hatfield Road/ Great North Road), B157 Shepherds Way, Well Road and B156 (Judges Hill/ Coopers Lane/The Causeway).

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 24 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BIRCH GROVE, POTTERS BAR) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Birch Grove, Potters Bar from a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.31 Birch Grove north westwards for its entire length ("the Road"), except for access. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. The Order is needed because electrical repair works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 22 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON VARIOUS

CYCLE TRACKS AND ROAD IN WELWYN GARDEN CITY) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:-

1. To prohibit all pedal cycles from using the following lengths of cycle track ("the Cycle Tracks"):-

a) the cycle track situated on the south west side of Howlands, Welwyn Garden City from its junction with Merrifield Court north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 41m.

An alternative route will be via Howlands, the cycle track situated on the north east side of Howlands and the cycle track situated beneath the A1000 Chequers/Chequers Field roundabout.

b) the cycle track situated on the north west side of A1000 Chequers, Welwyn Garden City from its junction with A1000 Chequers north westwards, north eastwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 64m.

An alternative route will be via A1000 Chequers, the cycle track situated on the south east side of A1000 Chequers and the cycle track situated beneath the A1000 Chequers/Chequers Field roundabout.

c) the cycle track situated beneath the A1000 Chequers/Chequers Field roundabout, Welwyn Garden City from its junction with the cycle track situated on the north west side of A1000 Chequers north eastwards for a distance of approximately 36m.

An alternative route will be via the cycle track situated on the north west side of A1000 Chequers, A1000 Chequers, the cycle track situated on the south east side of A1000 Chequers and the cycle track situated beneath the A1000 Chequers/Chequers Field roundabout.

d) the cycle track situated beneath the A1000 Chequers/Chequers Field roundabout, Welwyn Garden City from its junction with the cycle track situated on the south west side of Howlands north westwards for a distance of approximately 30m.

An alternative route will be via the cycle track situated on the south west side of Howlands, Howlands, the cycle track situated on the north east side of Howlands and the cycle track situated beneath the A1000 Chequers/Chequers Field roundabout.

2. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from being driven at a speed exceeding 30mph on that length of A1000 Chequers, Welwyn Garden City from its junction with the Howlands/Chequers Field roundabout south westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 350m ("the Road"), when signs are in place.

The Order is needed because utility service installation works are proposed to be executed on or near the Cycle Tracks and Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 22 January 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Cycle Tracks and Road. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Codicote Road, Codicote from its junction with B656 High Street south eastwards for a distance of approximately 778m.

An alternative route will be via B656 (High Street/Hitchin Road/London Road), B651 (Whitwell Road/Hitchin Road/High Street/Horn Hill/Hitchin Road/High Street/Ballslough Hill), Kimpton Road, B651 Lamer Lane, B653 (Codicote Road/Cory Wright Way/Marford Road/Brocket Road), B197 (Great North Road/ Digswell Hill/Welwyn Bypass Road), A1000 Welwyn Bypass Road and B656 (Church Street/Link Road/Codicote Road).

2. that length of B652 High Street, Kimpton from its junction with B652 Kimpton Bottom north eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with B651 Hitchin Road, a distance of approximately 1236m.

An alternative route will be via B652 (Kimpton Bottom/Bower Heath Lane), B653 Lower Luton Road, B651 Lamer Lane, Kimpton Road and B651 (Ballslough Hill/High Street).

3. that length of Luton Road, Kimpton from its junction with B652 High Street north eastwards for a distance of approximately 237m.

An alternative route will be via B652 High Street, B651 (Hitchin Road/Horn Hill), Lilley Bottom Road, Bendish Lane, C27 (unnamed road), Whitewaybottom Lane and Fox Hill.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 22 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.
