Swarkestone Road - Temporary Road Closure To Facilitate Bridge Inspection

What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE SWARKESTONE ROAD, WESTON ON TRENT

WHEN: 24th January 2024 to 25th January 2024 & 7th February  2024
WHERE: Swarkestone Road, Weston on Trent (at rail bridge) REASON: To facilitate bridge inspection.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Swarkestone Road, Main Street, Weston Road, Derby Road, B5010 London Road, Shardlow Road, Snelsmoor Lane, High Street, A514 Swarkestone Road, Swarkestone Road (to point of closure) and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the  affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is  finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190.
The County Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the  Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use  by traffic.
