What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA

A26 St Johns Road, Tunbridge Wells  TN4 9XD (CYCLE LANE SUSPENSION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of footway reconstruction works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on part of A26 St Johns Road, Tunbridge Wells, on or after 5th February 2024 for up to 42 days or until the works have been completed.

The cycle lane will be suspended northbound between Leighton Close and Floyd Close.

 

A262 Clayhill, Goudhurst, TN17 1AB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of UKPN works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A262 Clayhill, Goudhurst, from 15.00hrs on 10th February 2024 to 19.00hrs on 11th February 2024 or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Clay Cottages.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A262 Cranbrook Road/Goudhurst Road, A229 Angley Road/Hartley Road/Hawkhurst Road/Cranbrook Road, A268 High Street/Hawkhurst Road, A21 London Road/Lamberhurst Bypass, A262 Station Road/Clayhill/West Road/Church Road/Cranbrook Road and vice versa.

 

B2160 Maidstone Road, Commercial Road & Station Road, Paddock Wood TN12 6EJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of SGN works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2160 Maidstone Road, Commercial Road and Station Road, Paddock Wood.

B2160 Maidstone Road will be closed between Allington Road and Jewson from 9th February 2024 to 18th February 2024.

Commercial Road will be closed at the junction with Station Road from 26th February 2024 to 11th March 2024.

Station Road will be closed between B2160 Maidstone Road and Station Approach from 9th February 2024 to 11th March 2024.

The alternative route for B2160 Maidstone Road is via B2160 Maidstone Road, B2017 Badsell Road, A228 Maidstone Road/Whetsted Road and vice versa.

The alternative route for Commercial Road is via B2160 Maidstone Road and Station Road.

The alternative route for Station Road is via Commercial Road and B2160 Maidstone Road or Church Road, Warrington Road and B2160 Maidstone Road.

 

Bodiam Road, Sandhurst, TN18 5LF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bodiam Road, Sandhurst, on or after 5th February 2024 for up to 3 days between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Apple Tree House.

The alternative route is via Bodiam Road, Peters Green Road, Castle Road, B2244 Hawkhurst Road/Hastings Road, Conghurst Lane, A268 Rye Road/Megrims Hill/Queen Street and vice versa.

 

Franks Hollow Road, Speldhurst, TN3 0UB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Franks Hollow Road, Speldhurst, on or after 7th February 2024 for up to 2 days between 08.00hrs and 18.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Hillside Farm.

The alternative route is via Franks Hollow Road, Stockland Green Road, Bentham Hill, Victoria Road, Constitutional Hill Road, Church Road, A26 London Road, B2176 Bidborough Ridge, High Street and vice versa.

 

Old Whetsted Road, Five Oak Green, TN12 6NW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of South East Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Old Whetsted Road, Five Oak Green, on or after 5th February 2024 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Hamlet Cottages.

The alternative route is via Old Whetsted Road, A228 Whetsted Road and vice versa.

 

Romford Road, Pembury, TN2 4BB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Romford Road, Pembury, on or after 5th February 2024 for up to 2 days between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Kings Toll Road and Foxhole Lane.

The alternative route is via Foxhole Lane, Chestnut Lane, B2160 Maidstone Road, A21 Pembury Bypass, Hastings Road, Woodside Road, Romford Road and vice versa.

 

Rosemary Lane, Flimwell, TN5 7PU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of drainage improvement works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Rosemary Lane, Flimwell, on or after 5th February 2024 for up to 21 days between 09.00hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between A21 and property Yew Tree.

The alternative route is via A21 London Road, Hawkhurst Road, B2087 High Street/Union Street/Broom Hill/Berners Hill, Rosemary Lane and vice versa.

 

Round Green Lane, Cranbrook, TN17 2ND (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Round Green Lane, Cranbrook, on or after 23rd January 2024 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Myrtle Cottage.

The alternative route is via Round Green Lane, Husheath Hill, Wilden Park Road, Five Oak Lane, Pristling Lane, Goudhurst Road, Folly Hill, Colliers Green Road and vice versa.

 

Staplehurst Road, Frittenden, TN17 2EA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of South East Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Staplehurst Road, Frittenden, on or after 24th January 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside The Twins.

The alternative route is via Staplehurst Road, Frittenden Road, A229 Cranbrook Road/Knoxbridge/Rocks Hill/Camden Hill/The Common, Frittenden Road, Cranbrook Road, The Street, Headcorn Road and vice versa.

 

Vauxhall Lane, Southborough, TN11 0NF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Vauxhall Lane, Southborough, on or after 28th January 2024 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between A26 London Road and the entrance to Mabledon Farm.

The alternative route is via Vauxhall Lane, A2014 Pembury Road, A26 Quarry Hill Road/London Road and vice versa.
