Central Road - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (Central Road) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.12) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 29th January 2024 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
CENTRAL ROAD
From its junction with Station Road to its junction with South Road.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate frame and cover repair works to manhole outside 24 Central Road.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 20:00 on 29th January 2024 to 06:00 on 30th January 2024 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from South Road, Havant Road, Station Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
