What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

SWALE AREA

Ashford Road, Badlesmere.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Ashford Road, Badlesmere, on or after 11th February 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.00 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Bagshill Road to the junction with Dayton Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for vehicles travelling Southbound is via A2 Canterbury Road, London Road, Brenley Corner Roundabout, A2 Boughton Bypass, A2050 Harbledown Bypass, Rheims Way, St Peters Roundabout, Rheims Way, A28 Wincheap Green, Thanington Road, Ashford Road, Canterbury Road, A252 Maidstone Road, The Street and Canterbury Road.

 

The alternative route for vehicles travelling North is via A252 Canterbury Road, The Street, Maidstone Road, A28 Canterbury Road, Ashford Road, Thanington Road, A2 Boughton Bypass, Brenely Corner Roundabout, A2 London Road and Canterbury Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Chalkey Road, Boughton under Blean.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Chalkey Road, Boughton Under Blean, on or after 6th February 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Canterbury Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Staple Street, Bull Lane, Stockers Hill, Canterbury Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Halstow Lane, Lower Halstow.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Halstow Lane, Lower Halstow, on or after 8th February 2024, for up to 5 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Chapel House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Halstow Lane, Forge Lane, The Street, Horsham Lane, Otterham Quay Lane, Lower Rainham Road, A2 Moor Street, London Road, Hartlip Hill, Breach Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Lower Road, Buckland.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JANUARY 2024

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council  has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Lower Road, Buckland, on or after 28th January 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 06.00 and 18.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the level crossing, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Lower Road, Lower Norton Lane, A2 London Road, B2045 Western Link, Bysing Wood Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Priory Row & Barnfield Road, Faversham.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Priory Row & Barnfield Road, Faversham, on or after 10th February 2024, for up to 9 days, or until the works have been completed.

Priory Row will be closed from Davington Primary School to the junction with Barnfield Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Barnfield Road will be closed from the junction with Priory Row, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic for:-

Priory Row is via Oare Road, B2045 Western Link, Bysing Wood Road, Dark Hill, Davington Hill, Priory Row and vice versa.

Barnfield Road travelling westbound is via Barnfield Road, Reedland Crescent, Bramblehill Road, Bridge Road, Brent Road and Davington Hill.

Barnfield Road travelling eastbound is via Priory Row, Davington Hill, Curtis Way, West Street, B2040 North Lane, Bridge Road, Bramblehill Road and Reedland Crescent.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

St Marys Road, Faversham, ME13 8NZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of St Marys Road, Faversham, on or after 9th February 2024, for up to 2 days, between the hours of 08.00 and 18.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of William Street, to the junction of Solomons Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via St Marys Road, Station Road, B2041 Newton Road, B2040 East Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Tribune Drive, Sittingbourne, ME10 2PD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JANUARY 2024

To allow manhole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Tribune Drive, Sittingbourne, from 19.00 hours on 23rd January 2024, with estimated completion by 05.00 hours on 24th January 2024, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with B2006 Mill Way, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2006 Mill Way.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
