What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

MAIDSTONE AREA

Baron Close, Footpath, Bearsted.​ (PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) TEMPORARY ORDER JANUARY 2024

To allow reconstruction works to take place, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting pedestrians on part of the footpath in Baron Close, Bearsted, on or after 22nd January 2024, for up to 4 days, or until the works have been completed.

The footpath in Baron Close, Bearsted will be closed from Fitzwilliam Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for pedestrians is via Fitzwilliam Road, Baron Close and vice versa.

 

Bicknor Road, Maidstone, ME15 9PR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBURARY 2024

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bicknor Road, Maidstone, on or after 5th February 2024, for up to 5 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Heather House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Bicknor Road, Wallis Avenue, Bicknor Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Duck Pond Lane, East Sutton.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JANUARY 2024

To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Duck Pond Lane, East Sutton, on or after 24th January 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Manor Farm, Chartway Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Duck Pond Lane, Gravelly Bottom Road, Chartway Street, Duck Pond Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Duck Pond Lane, Kingswood, ME17 3PT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Duck Pond Lane, Kingswood, on or after 5th February 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Gravelly Bottom Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Gravelly Bottom Road, Chartway Street, Duck Pond Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Gallants Lane, East Farleigh, ME15 0LE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Gallants Lane, East Farleigh, on or after 5th February 2024, for up to 1 day, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the Wilsons Lane junction and the Lower Road junction, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Gallants Lane, Wilsons Lane, Vicarage Lane, B2010 Lower Road, Gallants Lane and vice versa.

 

Old Loose Hill & High Banks, Maidstone.​ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JANUARY 2024

To allow connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Old Loose Hill & High Banks, Loose, on or after 23rd January 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

Old Loose Hill will be closed from the junction with Church Street to the junction with High Banks, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

High Banks will be closed from the junction with Old Loose Hill to the junction with Church Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic for Old Loose Hill is via Old Loose Hill, A229 Linton Road, Old Loose Hill and vice versa.

The alternative route for any through traffic for High Banks is via High Banks, Church Street, Old Loose Hill, A229 Linton Road, Old Loose Hill, High Banks and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Pilgrims Way, Boxley, ME14 3EB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Pilgrims Way, Boxley, on or after 9th February 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Waterworks Cottages, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Pilgrims Way, Styles Lane, The Street, Pilgrims Way and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Stockett Lane, Tovil, ME15 0PP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Stockett Lane, Tovil, on or after 7th February 2024, for up to 2 days, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Busbridge Road and Bockingford Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Sockett Lane, New Cut, Dean Street, B2010 Farleigh Hill, Straw Mill Hill, Sockett Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Sutton Road, Langley, ME17 3LZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow drainage repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Sutton Road, Langley, on or after 5th February 2024, for up to 6 weeks, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junction of Plough Wents Road and the junction of Horseshoes Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Sutton Road, Plough Wents Road, Heath Road, Linton Road, Loose Road, Sutton Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Tonbridge Road, Maidstone, ME16 8JS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Tonbridge Road, Maidstone, on or after 10th February 2024, for up to 2 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 139, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via A26 Tonbridge Road, A20 Terrace Road, A20 London Road, Queens Road, A26 Tonbridge Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Westerhill Road, Linton, ME17 4BX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024

To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Westerhill Road, Linton, on or after 5th February 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Snoads Hall, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Westerhill Road, Bon Fleur Lane, Redwell Lane, East Street, Hunton Hill, Amsbury Road, Westerhill Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Yelsted Road, Yelsted, ME9 7UT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JANUARY 2024

To allow overhead cable works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Yelsted Road, Yelsted, on or after 23rd January 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 08.30 and 18.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Yelsted Lane to the junction with Hill Green Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Yelsted Road, Hill Green Road, West Wood Road, South Street Road, Yelsted Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
