Folkestone and Hythe, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

FOLKESTONE & HYTHE AREA

Lower Wall Road, Burmarsh (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow roadworks to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lower Wall Road, Burmarsh, on or after 22nd January 2024 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Giggers Green Road and Tame Lane, between the hours of 08:30 and 16:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Giggers Green Road, Eastbridge Road, Church Road, Tame Lane and vice versa.

 

Narrowbush Lane, Brookland (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow railway works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Narrowbush Lane, Brookland, on or after 7th February 2024 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the railway bridge, between the hours of 23:15 and 05:15 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Eighteen Acre Lane, Washington Lane, Beggarsbush Lane, Midley Wall, Hook Wall, Ashentree Lane, Barnhouse Lane and vice versa.

 

Pleydell Gardens, Folkestone, CT20 9GU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow sewer works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pleydell Gardens, Folkestone, on or after 5th February 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Shakespeare Terrace and Cheriton Place, between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Shakespeare Terrace, Sandgate Road, Cheriton Place, Pleydell Gardens and vice versa.
