What is happening?

Somerset Council

Parishes of Bicknoller, West Quantoxhead and Sampford Brett

Temporary Closure of Luckes Lane Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Luckes Lane - from the junction with Taunton Road, northwards for a total distance of 1052 metres. This Order will enable Barr Engineering Services to replace a pole on behalf of Airband.

The Order becomes effective on 2nd February 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 7th February 2024 and last until 9th February 2024 between the hours of 08:00 - 18:00 for a total of 3 days.

a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; or b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
