West Sussex Area - Temporary Road Closures and Traffic Restrictions.

West Sussex County Council (NOTICE is hereby given that West Sussex County Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from proceeding along a length of Public Footpath No. 795_2 Loxwood, from its western end at its junction with Public Bridleway No. 810 (TQ036316), eastwards to its junction with Rowner Road (TQ038317), a distance of approximately 195 metres. The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst development works are undertaken in the vicinity.

Unfortunately there are no alternative routes available using the Public Rights of Way network.

The Order will come into effect on 15 January 2024 and will last for 6 months.

(North Mundham – Runcton: Brookside) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that West Sussex County Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close Brookside. The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst emergency highway repair works are undertaken.

The Order came into effect on 14 January 2024 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

(Amberley: Public Footpath 2667) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024 NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, West

Sussex County Council intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Public footpath 2667 in Amberley from its junction with Church Street eastwards to the River Arun. The closure of this route is needed to maintain public safety while a collapsed wall adjoining the route is repaired.

The Order continues the effect of a previously issued emergency closure notice and will come into effect on 14 January 2024. It may remain in force for up to 6 months, or until repair works are completed, whichever is earlier. Unfortunately, no alternative route is available on the public rights of way network during the operative period of this closure.

(Barnham & Eastergate: Barnham Road) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice,

West Sussex County Council intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic

Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Barnham Road in Barnham & Eastergate from its junction with Drovers Way, northwestwards for 65m.

The road closure is needed to maintain safety while a collapsed sewer is repaired. The Order continues the effect of a previously issued emergency closure notice and will come into effect on 12 January 2024. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.
