ROTHERHAM METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL
THE ROTHERHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL (MALTBY AREA, ROTHERHAM) (PROHIBITION OF COMMERCIAL VEHICLES OVER 7.5 TONNES GROSS WEIGHT) (EXCEPT FOR LOADING) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council acting in its capacity as traffic authority for the borough of Rotherham proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1), 2(2) and 2(4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) as amended, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act. The effect of the order if implemented will be to prohibit vehicles with a maximum gross weight exceeding 7.5 tonnes, except for loading, from travelling along the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice;

Exemptions will apply to the weight restriction to enable work to be carried out in or adjacent to the road and for emergency service vehicles.
Copies of the proposed Order a map showing the length and side of the road affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal office hours at the Council’s Offices at the address shown below.
Objections to the proposed Order and other representations relating to it can be sent to the undersigned (quoting reference NF/71714, e-mail Legal-TRO@rotherham.gov.uk) at the address shown below and must be received by the undersigned no later than the 9th. February 2024. All objections and other representations must be made in writing and all objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) PART OF LANGLEY CLOSE EAST HERRINGTHORPE ROTHERHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Langley Close from the last 20m of the adopted highway before the garage site access from Monday 22nd. January until Wednesday 24th. January 2024.
NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for vehicles affected by the order.
The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Works to water apparatus).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) PART OF LINCOLN STREET NORTHFIELD PART OF JAMES STREET THORNHILL PART OF GREASBROUGH ROAD NORTHFIELD AND PART OF RAWMARSH ROAD NORTHFIELD ROTHERHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the four parts of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice for periods of time between Monday 22nd. January and Wednesday 24th. April 2024.
The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the parts of road (Water main replacement).
SCHEDULE
(i) Lincoln Street from its junction Greasbrough Road for a distance of approximately 75m in a westerly direction (the alternative route will be via Fieldway, North Drive and vice versa).
(ii) James Street from its junction with Rodgers Street for a distance of approximately 200m in a southerly direction (there is no alternative route, access will be maintained for residents).
(iii) Greasbrough Road in any direction other than a northerly direction from a point approximately 70m north of its junction with Northfield Road to the A6123 Greasbrough Road/Greasbrough Street junction (the alternative route will be via A6123 Greasbrough Street, A630 Centenary Way, A633 St. Anns Road and Rawmarsh Road).
(iv) Rawmarsh Road in any direction other than a westerly direction from its junction with A633 Rotherham Road for a distance of approximately 200m in a westerly direction (the alternative route will be via Drummond Street, Greasbrough road, A6123 Greasbrough Street, A630 Centenary Way and A633 St. Anns Road).
