HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH PRESTON 2
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath Preston 2, heading east from St Albans Highway then north to junction with Langley 1, for an approximate distance of 500m.
Alternative route: no suitable alternative on PROW network.
The purpose of the Order is to enable utilities works to take place. The section of Footpath will be closed on or after 15 January 2024 for up to 4 weeks, when signs are in place. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BYWAY OPEN TO ALL TRAFFIC ASHWELL 17
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians, horse riders, cyclists and vehicles from using that length of Byway Open to All Traffic Ashwell 17, heading west from junction with Station Road, for an approximate distance of 175m.
Alternative route: no suitable alternative on PROW network.
The purpose of the Order is to enable telegraph pole replacement works to take place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF DANE END LANE AND HALLS GREEN, WESTON) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access:-
1. that length of Dane End Lane, Weston from its junction with Dane End Farm Lane south eastwards, north eastwards, north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Halls Green, a distance of approximately 1110m.
An alternative route will be via Dane End Lane, Warrens Green Lane, Damask Green Road, Maiden Street and Halls Green.
2. that length of Halls Green, Weston from its junction with Weston Road south westwards, north westwards, south westwards, north westwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 2363m.
An alternative route will be via C14 (unnamed road), B1037 (White Hill/High Street/ Stevenage Road/Fairlands Way), A1155 Verity Way, A1072 Martins Way, Canterbury Way, Great Ashby Way, Orwell Avenue, Calder Way, Weston Road, Damask Green Road, Maiden Street and Halls Green.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 29 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF C5 (UNNAMED ROAD), RUSHDEN) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of C5 (unnamed road), Rushden from its junction with Bennetts Lane southwards for a distance of approximately 149m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via C5 (unnamed road), Redhill, C10 (unnamed road), The Street, Kits Lane, Wallington Road, B656 (Royston Bypass Interchange with Wallington Road/ Royston Road), A507 Clothall Road and C5 (unnamed road).
The Order is needed because overhead line maintenance works are proposed to be executed near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 31 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH FRONTING NOS.1-6 RIDLINS END, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath fronting Nos.1-6 Ridlins End, Stevenage from its junction with Ridlins End north eastwards to its junction with Gonville Crescent, a distance of approximately 63m ("the Footpath").
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north side of Ridlins End, the footway situated on the east side of Shephall Way, the footway situated on the south side of Bandley Rise and the footway situated on the west side of Gonville Crescent.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 15 January 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF LANNOCK HILL/HITCHIN ROAD, WESTON) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Lannock Hill/Hitchin Road, Weston from its junction with B197 Jacks Hill south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Damask Green Road, a distance of approximately 2226m ("the length of Roads").
An alternative route will be via B197 Jacks Hill, A505 Baldock Bypass, B197 London Road, Chalk Hills, Hatch Lane, Fore Street and Damask Green Road.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 15 January 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times
indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (HITCHIN TOWN CENTRE) (RESTRICTED PARKING ZONE) (AMENDMENT) (NO. 1) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council, for the purpose of relieving or preventing congestion of traffic, proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to relocate a goods vehicles/permit holders parking place in Churchyard/Churchyard Walk, Hitchin as specified in the Schedule to this Notice. No waiting, loading or unloading at other times - that section of road listed below and as set out in the Order and scheme plan - That part of Churchyard/ Churchyard Walk, as indicated on plan number NH01023P, the north-east side, from a point 3.9 metres north west of a point in line with the north east facia wall of 1a/1b Churchyard south eastwards for a distance of 6 metres. Consulting on this scheme is a statutory duty of the County Council.
