What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Epping Forest District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Amendment No.24) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under S1(1), 2(1) to (4), 3(2), 4(1), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1),45, 46, 49, 53 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the order: To Implement: 'No Waiting at Any Time' Restrictions:

Road Old Shire Lane

Description

SOUTHEAST SIDE: From a point approximately 24 metres southwest of the southwestern kerb line of the entrance to the Marriott Hotel, in a generally north-easterly direction for approximately 100 metres.

NORTHWEST SIDE:

i) From a point at the north-eastern kerb line of the entrance to the Marriott Hotel, in a generally north-easterly direction for approximately 66 metres.

ii) From a point at the southwestern kerb line of the entrance to the Marriott Hotel, in a generally south-westerly direction for approximately 24 metres.

This Order will be incorporated into 'The Essex County Council (Epping Forest District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019' by substituting map tile: TQ400 000 Revision 0 to Revision 1.

Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 15 January 2024.

Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.

(Old Shire Lane, Waltham Abbey) (2.3 Metre Width Restriction) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under S1(1), 2(1) to (4), 3(2), 4(1), 4(2), and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the order: To Implement: a '2.3 Metre Width' Restriction:

Road Old Shire Lane

Description

BOTH SIDES: From a point approximately 47 metres northeast of its junction with the entrance to the Marriott Hotel, in a generally north-easterly direction for approximately 4 metres.

Date of operation: The Orders will come into operation on 15 January 2024.

(Hoe Lane, Nazeing) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hoe Lane, Nazeing in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Palmers Grove for a distance of approximately 55m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th February 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231010066 - Road Traffic Solutions Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while tree maintenance works are undertaken by Road Traffic Solutions Ltd. An alternative route is available via Hoe Lane, Betts Lane, Nazeing Common, Middle Street and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 18th January 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Sheering Road, Sheering) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Sheering Road, Sheering in the District of Epping Forest, from its junctions with Gilden Way for a distance of approximately 115m in a northwesterly direction and from its junction with Sheering Lower Road for a distance of approximately 105m in a southeasterly direction. The closures are scheduled to commence on 5th February 2024 for 4 nights (21:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH10004907 in conjunction with EP201EH10003899 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while installation of width restriction, signage and antiskid surfacing works are undertaken by Essex County Council. An alternative route is available via B183, A1060, A414 and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 18th January 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Emberson Way, North Weald Bassett) (Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily introduce a 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' on that length of Emberson Way, North Weald Bassett in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with High Road to its junction with Higham View a distance of approximately 60m. "The Essex County Council (Epping Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force. The restriction is scheduled to commence on 19th January 2024 for 29 days (8:00-17:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2356219 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while dropped crossing and footway works are undertaken by Essex County Council. The Order will come into effect on 4th January 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
