Rempstone Road - Road Closure to Enable Works to Be Carried Out

What is happening?

THE
NOTTINGHAMSHIRE
COUNTY COUNCIL
(REMPSTONE ROAD,
EAST LEAKE)
(TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF
DRIVING) ORDER
2024 (R24-008)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that the Nottinghamshire
County Council has made an
Order, under Section 14(1) of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984, as amended, in respect
of roads at East Leake in the
Borough of Rushcliffe.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited
from proceeding in the
following length of road
a. Rempstone Road - from
its junction with Elizabeth Drive
in a north westerly direction
for a distance of 540 metres.
2. Vehicles are prohibited
from waiting, loading and
unloading in the following
length of road: -
a. Rempstone Road (Both
sides, 08:00-15:30) - from its
junction with Elizabeth Drive
in a north westerly direction
for a distance of 540 metres.
3. All existing permanent
restrictions will be temporarily
suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified
above shall only be in effect
when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the
prohibitions respecting
the above road or roads
will apply as follows:
From 08:00 hours on Monday
15th January 2024
Until 15:30 hours on Monday
22nd January 2024
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY
FURTHER GIVEN that
during the period of
restriction the alternative
route available will be:
Woodgate Road - Brookside
- Main Street - Castle
Hill - Loughborough Road
and vice versa.
The Order will come into force
on Monday 15th January
2024 and any prohibition in
it shall apply on that day and
any subsequent day when
necessary to enable works
to be carried out. The Order
shall continue in force until the
works are completed (within a
maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required
to enable Via East Midlands
to carry out Large Scale
Patching repairs;
