What is happening?

CITY OF BRISTOL
(KINGS WESTON ROAD, LAWRENCE WESTON, BRISTOL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Kings Weston Road which extends from Kings Weston Lane to Westbury Lane.
The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 15th January 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 15th January 2024 and 3rd May 2024).
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Kings Weston Road (part unaffected), Long Cross, Kings Weston Avenue, Lower High Street, Avonmouth Road, Portway Roundabout, Portway, Sylvan Way, Shirehampton Road and vice versa
(DEAN LANE, SOUTHVILLE, BRISTOL)
(TEMPORARY ONE WAY TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to introduce, temporarily, one way traffic working in a southerly direction in Dean Lane from Coronation Road to Southville Road.
The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 14th January 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restriction may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Dean Lane, Lombard Street, Catherine Mead Street St. John’s Road, Coronation Road
