Mitten Avenue - Prohibition Of Traffic For 8 Gas Main Connections

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE is hereby given that Birmingham City Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to Prohibit, any vehicle to proceed into Mitten Avenue from junction of Holly Hill to junction of Ormond Road.
The temporary Order is required to facilitate, ‘Abandon 290m of 4” SI main, Lay 39m of 63mm PE main via DI, Lay 251m of 90mm PE main via DI, approx. 46 services & 8 Gas Main connections, backfill, reinstate & clear site.
An alternative route for vehicles affected by this Order will be signed on site.
Access to frontages will be maintained as necessary.
These prohibitions shall apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
The Order will come into operation on Monday the 15th January 2024 and will remain in force for a period of 12 weeks or until the works are completed whichever is the earlier.
