U6705 BRIARDENE ASHINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U6705 Briardene Ashington from its junction with Alderwood to its junction with Stonecross for a distance of 110 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 31st January 2024 until the 1st February 2024.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 31st January 2024 until the 1st February 2024 between the hours of 21:00 and 05:00 during this period.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Briardene, Green Lane, Wansbeck Road, Blackthorn Way and vice versa.

The closure has been requested by Elev8 Hire on behalf of BT for the upgrading of the telecommunications mast equipment.
In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
