Carlton Road - Temporary Traffic Regulation
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(B6045 CARLTON ROAD, WORKSOP)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024 (BS24-001)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Worksop in the District of Bassetlaw.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:
a. B6045 Carlton Road, Worksop – from its junction with Eastgate in a northerly direction to a point outside of the entrance of Screwfix.
2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 08:00 hours on Monday 29th January 2024
Until 17:00 hours on Friday 23rd February 2024
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
B6040 Gateford Road – Sandy Lane – A60 Sandy Lane – A57 Worksop Bypass – B6041 Gateford Road – B6041 Raymoth Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into force on 29th January 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Severn Trent Water to carry out sewer relining and replacement works;
