What is happening?

U6527 LABURNUM TERRACE ASHINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U6527 Laburnum Terrace Ashington from its junction with Milburn Road heading north for a distance of 5 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 16th January 2024 until the 17th January 2024.
It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 16th January 2024 until the 17th January 2024 between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 during this period.
There is no alternative route for vehicular traffic.
This Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will hereby further suspend the one-way system on Laburnum Terrace Ashington from the Order namely Northumberland County Council Laburnum Terrace One Way Traffic Restriction Order 2020 (Ref: TROM_188) dated 1st December 2023 and referenced as Laburnum Terrace Ashington from its junction with Acacia Terrace to its junction with First Avenue.

The closure has been requested by Northumbrian Water Ltd to utilise a CCTV survey then cleanse the sewer in the carriageway.
In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
