NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2024
Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:
Bleadon Road, Bleadon, North Somerset
Temporary One Way Restriction Order 2024
Date coming into force: 18 January 2024 - Ref: SW23.24-298
Will be to temporarily restrict vehicles to proceeding in a one way direction in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services.
This order is required in the interests of public and traffic safety consequent upon nearby development and utility connection works by Ashgrove Groundworks & Edenstone Group. This will become operative on the 18 January 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the restriction may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of approximately 9 weeks in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
Schedule - Temporary One Way restriction Bleadon Road in the direction of travel from Bridgwater Road junction to Purn Way junction.

Atlantic Road South, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024
Date coming into force: 20 February 2024 - Ref: SW23.24-292 Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to for ducting works. This will become operative on the 20 February 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024
Date coming into force: 24 February 2024 - Ref: SW23.24-295
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to replace lead pipe. This will become operative on the 24 February 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to install new supply and valve. This will become operative on the 12 February 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 12 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Capstan Contractors Ltd for remedial trench works. This will become operative on the 12 February 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 7 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to replace a pole. This will become operative on the 4 March 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to renew joint box frame and cover. This will become operative on the 28 February 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration between 8am and 6pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024
Date coming into force: 12 February 2024 - Ref: T24-01
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, for any North Somerset Council vehicle enforcing the restrictions, any vehicle associated with the works and for any vehicle with agreed dispensation from North Somerset Council undertaking emergency work. The above restriction is necessary in the interest of public safety and the facilitation of essential maintenance works required to highway retaining walls, being undertaken by North Somerset Council.
This order will become operative on the 12 February 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated, which is expected to be for 16 weeks. Appropriate traffic signs, cones, road safety barriers and traffic diversion route signage will be displayed when the measures are in force.
Schedule - South Road from a point 148m northwest of its junction with Queens Road for a distance of 80m in a southerly direction.

FINAL NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2024
Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:
Lower Norton Lane, Kewstoke, North Somerset
Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists
Date coming into force: 15 January 2024 - Ref: T23-76
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The maximum period for the closures is 18 months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.
This order was required because of carriageway maintenance works and will become operative on 15 January 2024, anticipated to be of 5 days in duration between 8am and 5pm.
Schedule - Lower Norton Lane full extent.

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to clear cable blockage. This will become operative on the 25 January 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
