What is happening?

THE

LANE, NEWTHORPE
& UNDERWOOD)
(TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF
DRIVING) ORDER
2024 (BX24-010)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that the Nottinghamshire
County Council intends not
less than seven days from the
date of this Notice to make an
Order, under Section 14(1) of
the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984, as amended, in
respect of roads at Newthorpe
and Underwood in the
Borough of Broxtowe.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited
from proceeding in the
following length of road:
a. B600 Willey Lane -
from its junction with A608
Cordy Lane to its junction
with B600 Moorgreen.
2. All existing permanent
restrictions will be temporarily
suspended as required.
3. The restrictions specified
above shall only be in effect
when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the
prohibitions respecting
the above road or roads
will apply as follows:
From 09:00 hours on Monday
22nd January 2024
Until 16:00 hours on Friday
2nd February 2024
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY
FURTHER GIVEN that
during the period of
restriction the alternative
route available will be:
A608 Cordy Lane - A608
Church Lane - A608 Mansfield
Road - Nottingham Road
- B6010 Dovecote Road -
B6010 Beauvale - B6010
Moorgreen and vice versa.
The Order will come into force
on Monday 22nd January
2024 and any prohibition in
it shall apply on that day and
any subsequent day when
necessary to enable works
to be carried out. The Order
shall continue in force until the
works are completed (within a
maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required
to enable Via East Midlands
to carry out carriageway
trial hole works;
