TEMPORARY CLOSURE C52 TIBBERTON LANE (TIBBERTON PARISH) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C52 Tibberton Lane outside the property known as Wynford Cottage for a distance of approximately 30 metres.

The reason is for Severn Trent Water works to renew a boundary box.

NOTICE OF MAKING OF A PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL PUBLIC FOOTPATHS GDY 57 (PART) (PARISH OF DYMOCK) AND GKE 38 (PARISH OF KEMPLEY) DIVERSION ORDER 2023

The above Order made on 19th December 2023 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, and Section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, if confirmed, will divert the lengths of Public Footpath described in Part 1 of the Schedule hereto to a line described in Part 2. A copy of the Order and map may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at Gloucestershire County Council, Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester, GL1 2TG and Forest of Dean District Council, High Street, Coleford, Glos, GL16 8HG. Copies of the Order and Order Map may be obtained free of charge by emailing prow@gloucestershire.gov.uk (please quote reference GKE/38/TH). Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to the Principal Public Rights of Way Officer, Gloucestershire County Council, Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester, GL1 2TG (email: prow@gloucestershire.gov.uk) not later than 8th February 2024. Please state the grounds on which they are made. (Please quote reference GKE/38/TH).

Please note that objections/representations cannot be treated as confidential and may come into the public domain. Copies of any objections or representations received may be disclosed to interested parties, including the Planning Inspectorate where the case is referred to it for determination. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Gloucestershire County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation, any representations and objections that have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.

PART 1 Description of paths to be extinguished
That length of footpath GDY 57 that runs from a point at OSGR SO6785/2921 northeast of The Redlands in a southwesterly direction for 151 metres to a point at OSGR SO6773/2913 and of undefined width.

That length of footpath GKE 38 that runs from OSGR SO6773/2913 in a southwesterly direction for 102 metres continuing west southwesterly for 48 metres to a point at OSGR SO6761/2904 and of undefined width.

PART 2 Description of new path
A length of footpath that runs from OSGR SO6785/2921 in a southerly direction for 142 metres to footpath GDY 55 at OSGR SO6785/2907 with a width of 2.5 metres.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH EBW2 (BROCKWORTH PARISH) TEWKESBURY BOROUGH

NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council, intends to make an Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of Public Footpath EBW2 from its junction with Public Footpath EHU 2 and then extends in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 780 metres to a point on EBW 2.

The said Public Footpath falls within the Parish of Brockworth in the Tewkesbury Borough, within the County of Gloucestershire.

The closure is necessary to safeguard the public whilst adjacent construction works are completed.

The Order will come into force on 25th January 2024, and it is anticipated that the said Public Footpath will remain closed for up to 6 months, until 25th July 2024. After this date, if the closure is still required, it will be necessary to apply to the Secretary of State for an extension of time.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF C8003 HORTON ROAD (KINGSHOLM AND WOTTON AND BARTON AND TREDWORTH WARDS) GLOUCESTER CITY

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the C8003 Horton Road at the Horton Road Level Crossing from its junction with Great Western Road to its junction with Millbrook Street for a distance of approximately 230 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for rail signal works.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE OF C194 LECKHAMPTON LANE (SHURDINGTON PARISH) TEWKESBURY BOROUGH

Gloucestershire County Council intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C194 Leckhampton Lane Road from outside the property known as Number 12 Leckhampton Lane to outside the property known as Bracelands for a total distance of approximately 25 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for water supply installation works.

The said road is expected to be closed from the 29th January 2024 until 2nd February 2024 only or until the works have been completed.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VARIOUS ROADS (VARIOUS WARDS AND PARISHES) CHELTENHAM BOROUGH

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the lengths of roads as detailed in the Schedule below (“the Roads”).

There will be no waiting permitted of vehicles throughout the duration of the intended works.

The reason for the closures and restrictions is for works to remove damaged pedestrian barriers.

The Roads are expected to be closed and restricted during various times on a rolling programme, commencing at 09:30hrs on 1st February 2024 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures and restrictions are in force.

Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closures and restrictions taking effect. This Order can permit the closure and restriction of the roads in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all works will be completed by 2nd February 2024.

Gloucestershire County Council intend to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of C8014 Southgate Street from outside the property known as No. 41 Southgate Street to outside the property known as St Mary de Crypt Church for a distance of approximately 40 metres.

The reason for the closure is for surfacing repair works.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH ASN 15 (SNOWSHILL PARISH) TEWKESBURY BOROUGH

NOTICE is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport has extended the Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of the Public Footpath ASN 15 from a point north-west of Smallthorns Farm and then extends in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 190 metres.

The footpath falls within Snowshill Parish in the Tewkesbury Borough, in the County of Gloucestershire.

The closure is necessary to safeguard the public during building construction works.

This temporary closure Order came into force on the 7th August 2023. Works have not been completed and the Order has been extended by the Secretary of State until the 7th August 2025 or until the works have been completed, whichever is earlier.

Alternative Route: as indicated on the Order Plan by a dash black line marked A – C.
