What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Bridleway 9, Rettendon) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the order: To temporarily close Bridleway 9, Rettendon in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 270 metres north of South Hanningfield Road for approximately 153 metres.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 15 January 2024 to 18 January 2024 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while a new entrance to the development and bridleway resurfacing is undertaken.

Alternative route via: Tile Works Lane, Old Barn Lane, South Hanningfield Road, Ridgemount and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 15 January 2024 may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Footpath 11, Canvey Island) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984(as amended).

Effect of the order: To temporarily close the following length of Footpath11, Canvey Island in the Borough of Castlepoint, from its junction with Knightswick Road to The Chimes, approximately 140 metres.

The closures are scheduled to commence on 15 January 2024 to 19 January 2024 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new water connections are undertaken.

The alternative route will be via Lakeside Path (FP11), Short Road, Harvet Road, Central Wall Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 15 January 2024 and may continue in force for 6 months, or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Link Road, Rayleigh) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Link Road, Rayleigh in the District of Rochford, from its junction with Upway for a distance of approximately 45m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th February 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN013307825 - Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Essex and Suffolk Water.

An alternative route is available via Beech Avenue, Elm Drive, Upway and vice versa (with access only into Link Road).

The Order will come into effect on 18th January 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Rectory Road, Little Burstead) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Rectory Road, Little Burstead in the Borough of Basildon, from a point approximately 510m north west of its junction with Dunton Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th February 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30042608198 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via Clock House Road, Botney Hill Road, Billericay Road, Dunton Road and vice versa (with access only into Rectory Road).

The Order will come into effect on 18th January 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Spring Gardens, Rayleigh) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Spring Gardens, Rayleigh in the District of Rochford, from a point approximately 40m north west of its junction with Burrows Way for a distance of approximately 60m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th February 2024 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231010018 - HSM Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while tree cutting works are undertaken by HSM Ltd.

An alternative route is available via Spring Gardens, Love Lane and vice versa (with access only into High Mead).

The Order will come into effect on 18th January 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Various Roads, Borough of Castle Point) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Clearway & Temporary Introduction of 30mph Speed Limit) (No.2) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of road in the Borough of Castle Point as specified in the schedule to this Order.

2. A temporary "No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above length of road for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

3. To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed limit in the various length of road as specified in the schedule.

"The Essex County Council (Castle Point Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 18th January 2024, exact dates will be specified on One.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close those lengths of roads in the Borough of Castle Point as specified in the schedule to this Order.

2. A temporary "No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of roads for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
