What is happening?

The Council of The London Borough of Redbridge The Redbridge (Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2021 (Amendment No. 1) Order 2024

The Council of the London Borough of Redbridge, after consulting the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 15 of the Greater London Council Act 1972 and Sections 6,45,46,49 and 121A and 124 and Parts I to IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and of all other enabling powers, on the 10th January 2024 made the above-mentioned Order, the effect of which will be to:

1. Install double yellow lines; i) outside Nos. 20a to 24 Woodford Avenue IG2; ii) opposite Nos. 13 to 18 St Peters Close IG2; iii) at the junction of Leeds Road and Bradford Road IG1; ix) at the junction of Leeds Road and Vicarage Lane IG1; x) in Vicarage Lane opposite nos. 65 to 67 Vicarage Road IG1; xi) in Vicarage Road IG1 outside and opposite the rear of no. 1 Friars Close; xii) in Vicarage Road IG1 opposite the junction with Leeds Road; xiii) at the junction of Vicarage Lane and Aldborough Road South IG3; xiv) at the junction of Bradford Road and Aldborough Road South IG3; xv) at the junction of Lombard Avenue and Aldborough Road South IG3; xvi) at the junction of Fiennes Close and Pedley Road RM8; xvii) at the junction of Diamond Close and Pedley Road RM8; xviii) at the junction of Jade Close and Pedley Road RM8; xix) At the junction of Crystal Way and Pedley Road RM8;

2. Install payment parking bays operating Monday to Saturday 8.30am to 6.30pm with a maximum stay of 2 hours and no return within 1 hour (Tariff B) outside Nos. 282 to 284a Clayhall Avenue IG5;

3. Relocate the existing south-eastern disabled parking place outside Nos. 17 to 23 Clements Road IG1 south-eastwards by 1.5 metres;

4. Convert existing double yellow lines and north-western disabled parking place to advisory Salvation Army Bays outside Nos. 17 to 23 Clements Road IG1;

5. Convert existing single yellow line outside no. 69 Grosvenor Road IG1 to a free parking place;

6. Implement permit parking area Seven Kings (SKA) operating 8.30am and 6.30pm, Monday to Saturday (inclusive of) in the following roads (both sides); i) Friars Close IG1; ii) Leeds Road IG1; iii) Bradford Road IG1; iv) Vicarage Lane IG1 from the side of no. 2 Leeds Road to its junction with Aldborough Road South;

7. Implement permit parking bays Seven Kings (SKA) operating 8.30am and 6.30pm, Monday to Saturday (inclusive of) in Aldborough Road South IG3 outside nos. 33/35, 37/39, 41/43 and 43 to 47.

8. Implement shared use permit holders Seven Kings (SKA) and payment parking places (Tariff B) operating 8.30am and 6.30pm, Monday to Saturday (inclusive of) in; i) Aldborough Road South IG3, opposite nos. 53 to 59; ii) Vicarage Lane IG1, at the sides of nos. 47 and 49 Aldborough Road South; iii) in Leeds Road IG1 at the side of no.44 Bradford Road IG1;

9. Implement permit parking area Chadwell Heath (CHB) operating 8.30am to 6.30pm, Monday to Saturday (Inclusive of) in the following roads (both sides); i) Pedley Road RM8; ii) Diamond Close RM8; iii) Fiennes Close RM8; iv) Jade Close RM8;

10. Implement permit parking Chadwell Heath (CHB) fully on the footway operating 8.30am to 6.30pm, Monday to Saturday (Inclusive of) in Mayfield Road; i) outside Nos. 3 to 43 Mayfield Road RM8; ii) outside nos. 32 to 44 Mayfield Road RM8; iii) opposite nos. 11 to 17 Mayfield Road RM8; iv) opposite nos. 21 to 43 Mayfield Road RM8; v) outside nos. 2 to 26 Mayfield Road RM8; vi) outside Nos. 57 Mayfield Road to 5 Angel Green.

11. Convert existing single yellow line operational hours to 8.30am to 6.30pm, Monday to Saturday in Aldborough Road South IG3, between its junction with Lombard Avenue and its junction with Benton Road;

12. Extend the existing double yellows in; i) Pedley Road RM8, opposite the side of no. 57 Mayfield Road; and ii) Falmouth gardens IG4, outside nos. 32 and 33 by 5 metres.

13. Revoke the single yellow line in Pedley Road RM8, adjacent to no. 57 Mayfield Road;

14. Revoke existing underlying waiting and parking restrictions at all locations mentioned in Sections 1 to 12 (inclusive of) of this notice;

15. Online application charges (per address) for the permit parking restrictions mentioned in Sections 6 to 10 (inclusive of) of this notice are as follows: first resident permit £22.50 for 12 months; second additional resident permit £61.75 for 6 months, £123.50 for 12 months; third and subsequent additional resident permit £111.50 for 6 months, £223 for 12 months. Visitor permits £12 for 10 permits. Business permits £260 for 6 months, £520 for 12 months. School staff permits £86.70 for 4 months or £241.50 for 12 months. Permit(s) free of charge for disabled badge holders and fully electric vehicles. Any applications not made online will incur an additional charge per permit (except Visitor and School staff permits). These charges are the same as the existing permit charges for the Borough;

16. A copy of the Order, which comes into operation on 15th January 2024, together with the Council's statement of reasons for making the Order, the map schedules and map schedule legend indicating the locations and the effects may be examined at the Customer Centre, Lynton House, 255 to 259 High Road, Ilford, IG1 1NY Monday to Friday (except on Bank Holidays).

17. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any provisions contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984

or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
