What is happening?

THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF WINDSOR & MAIDENHEAD
(VARIOUS ROADS, WINDSOR) (PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES) ORDER 2024
The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead 
in exercise of its power under the Road Traffic 
Regulation Act 1984 (the Act) and all other 
enabling powers, propose to make an Order, 
the effect of which will be to:-
Prevent any vehicle to proceed along the total length of Castle Hill, Windsor and also in St. Albans Street, Windsor to a point 20 metres south of its junction with Castle Hill, between the hours of 8:30am and 4:30pm each day. Prevent any vehicle to enter or proceed along Church Street, Church Lane, Market Street and Queen Charlotte Street, Windsor. 

Prevent any vehicle to proceed along St Albans Street, Windsor from a point 38 metres north of its junction with Park Street to a point 20 metres south of its junction with Castle Hill except for the purpose of deliveries and access to and from off street parking facilities. Prevent vehicles from carrying out U-turn manouvres in High Street, Windsor at it’s junction with Castle Hill.

Copies of the documents detailing the proposals can be inspected at Windsor Library between the following times: Monday, Thursday, Friday 9.30am – 5.30pm. Tuesday 10am – 7pm. Wednesday 1.30pm – 5.30pm. 
Saturday 10am – 4pm. Sunday 11am – 2pm.

Any objection to the proposals, together with the grounds on which it is made, should be sent in writing to the address below to be received no later than 5 February 2024
