THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(JEWISON LANE LEVEL CROSSING,
SEWERBY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the
effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing

Crossing, Sewerby and 20 metres either side of the

The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed
annual level crossing testing works, to be carried out

will be completed within seven hours. The alternative
route for traffic affected by the Order is via Jewison
Lane, Short Lane, Bempton Lane, Marton Road, Marton
Road Shops, Marton Road Roundabout, Aysgarth Rise,
Marton Gate, Marton Gate Roundabout, West Crayke,
Annerley Drive, The Crayke and Sheeprake Lane.
The road will be closed to all through traffic but access
will be maintained at all times to pedestrians and for
emergency services.
The Order will commence 14 January 2024 and
continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months
or until the works which it is proposed to carry out
have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
