Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices shall be served on Thursday 11th January 2024:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 9th January 2024 made the following temporary traffic regulation Orders under Section 14(1) and 14(4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
Traffic Regulation Order 1:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (MALLOW GATE, CONNIBURROW) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1892)
The effect of the above Order will be to close the following length of road, on 17th January 2024 – 20th January 2024 (between 9:30am and 3:30pm each day), to enable THREE to carry out pole installation works:
Mallow Gate, Conniburrow – From its junction with Portway to its junction with Redway CN03 Conniburrow.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Conniburrow Boulevard, Marlborough Street and Portway (and vice versa).
Traffic Regulation Order 2:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (STANDING WAY (PART), MILTON KEYNES) (TEMPORARY 40 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1893)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily introduce a 40mph speed restriction on Standing Way, V4 to V6 (from its junction with Elfield Park Roundabout for 175 metres on its eastbound carriageway), whilst works to form a new bell mouth are undertaken, due to the likelihood of danger to the public.
The temporary 40mph speed restriction will be in effect from 15th January 2024 until 9th April 2024 and will only be in force when indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
Traffic Regulation Order 3:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (FULMER STREET (PART), MILTON KEYNES) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1908)
The effect of the above Order will be to close the following length of road, from 15th t 26th January 2024, to enable Network Rail to undertake their annual inspections:
Fulmer Street, H5 to H6 – From its junction with Childs Way to its junction with Piggot Drive.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Childs Way, Watling Street and Portway (and vice versa).
Traffic Regulation Order 4:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (HARDMEAD ROAD, NEWTON BLOSSOMVILLE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1864)
The effect of the above Order will be to close the following length of road, from 15th January 2024 to 29th January 2024, to enable CPB Civils Ltd to carryout trenching works.
Hardmead Road, Newton Blossomville – At its junction with Newton Road.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Clifton Road, Newton Road, A509, A422 Turvey Road (and vice versa)
Access for pedestrians will be maintained throughout the closure.
Traffic Regulation Order 5:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS AND FOOTPATHS, BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURES AND RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1872)
The effect of the above Order will be to close the following length of roads to enable Graham Construction to safely undertake construction works from 15th January 2024 to 28th February 2026.
Tummel Way, Bletchley – Its entire length.
Whilst the above length of road is closed there will be no alternative route, Access will be maintained.
Whilst these works are being undertaken no waiting at any time restrictions will be introduced on the following lengths of road:
Drayton Road, Bletchley – From its junction with Fern Grove to a point 10 metres to the east of its junction with Bala Way;
Windermere Drive, Bletchley – From its junction with Cullen Place to its junction with Ness Way;
Burnmoor Close, Bletchley – Its entire length;
Melfort Drive, Bletchley – From its junction with Burnmoor Close to its junction with Langdale Close
Whilst these works are being undertaken, Footpath Lakes Estate as well as various footpaths alongside Tummel Way, Melfort Drive, Windermere Drive will be closed.
Traffic Regulation Order 6:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (SIMPSON ROAD (PART), BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1885)
The effect of the above Order will be to close the following length of road, from 13th to 15th January 2024, to enable Network Rail to undertake their annual inspections:
Simpson Road, Bletchley – 20 metres either side of its level crossing.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Watling Street and Staple Hall Road (and vice versa).
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the below traffic regulation Orders under Sections 14(1) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
Traffic Regulation Order 7:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (MARLBOROUGH STREET H5 TO H6 (NORTHBOUND) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1839)
The effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following length of road to facilitate Energetics Electricity to carry out cabling works: -
Marlborough Street H5 to H6 (Northbound) – From its junction with Childs Way to its junction with Portway.
Whilst the above closure is in place the alternative route will be via Childs Way, Tongwell Street and Portway (and vice versa).
The above closure will take place on 22nd January 2024 – 26th January 2024 (24 Hours) or until the said investigation has been completed, whichever is the sooner.
The closures will be clearly signed in accordance with Chapter 8 of the TSRGD 2016 (The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016). All affected properties will be notified of the forthcoming closures at least one week prior to the works taking place.
Traffic Regulation Order 8:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (NEWPORT ROAD (PART), MOULSOE) (TEMPORARY 40 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2024 (Reference: TTRO-1915)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following part of road at a speed in excess of 40mph whilst works to form a new bell mouth are undertaken, due to the likelihood of danger to the public whilst development works are being carried out.
Newport Road, Moulsoe – From its junction with London Road to its junction with number 82 Newport Road.
The temporary 40mph speed restriction will be in effect from 22nd January 2024 until 22nd January 2025) (24 Hours) and shall continue in force for a period of 12 months or until the works have been completed, whichever shall be the earlier. and will only be in force when indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

Public Notice of Variation of Charges
The following public notice shall be served on Thursday 11 January 2024:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (NOTICE OF VARIATION OF CHARGES AT DESIGNATED ON-STREET STANDARD TARIFF AND PREMIUM TARIFF PARKING PLACES WITHIN CENTRAL MILTON KEYNES) 2024
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL, in accordance with the provisions of Section 46A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Regulation 25 of the Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996, HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that with effect from and including 01 February 2024, there will be a change in the charges payable for the following:
On-Street Standard Tariff Parking Places. The current minimum charge duration of 1-hour parking will increase to 2-hours. The chart below indicates the charge durations for Standard Tariff, effective from 01 February 2024:

Low Emissions Permit. The current charge of £315.00 per annum will increase to £630.00 per annum from 01 January 2025.
Ultra-Low Emissions Permit. The current charge of £0.00 per annum will increase to £315.00 per annum from 01 February 2024 until 31 December 2024 and then to £630.00 per annum from 01 January 2025.
The above changes will affect each of the streets stated in the Schedules of the following named Orders:
1) The Council of the Borough of Milton Keynes (Central Milton Keynes) (On-Street Standard Tariff Parking Places) Order 2020
2) The Council of the Borough of Milton Keynes (Central Milton Keynes) (On-Street Premium Tariff Parking Places) Order 2020
